Dear Daniel, It’s been almost a week since we lost you. I can’t describe in words how much of an impact you made during your life on earth, and how many people will feel so lost now that you’re gone. I wish I could have told you so many things, my mind is constantly thinking about things I could have done, or said to have changed your mind. I remember our last conversation you told me you weren’t ready to talk, and I truly believed that I would get to hear your voice again and see you again, until I got your message that changed everything. I can’t say I’m not angry at you for leaving me alone in this world with only a goodbye, you really hurt me. You hurt a lot of people who loved you so much. I know you were struggling, and I truly believe you thought you were doing what was best for everyone but you were so wrong. I will never forget the times we had together, the nights we cooked together, mainly you cooked and I helped. We loved to get sugar cane at the best place in Sydney (Sugar Lemon) Eastwood. You helped me raise Dwight, our boy cat who we found out was a girl later on, and you taught her how to play rough and she loved to wrestle with you. She will miss you so much just as I do. One of the hardest things is trying to figure out how I’m meant to navigate life now you’re gone. You use to say as a joke “what would you do without me?” as I would forget my phone or something but you always helped me get out the door in time (mostly). I’m also asking myself that same question now, what will I do now ? You explored your faith in God over the past year and I saw you grow which was such a pleasure to be apart of and even though you’re no longer here, I believe that God loves you and he knows your struggles. As upset and confused I felt with God for allowing you to succeed even though I prayed for your safety every single day. I wasn’t with you, I can’t always understand why things happen, and you made a choice. You will always be so loved by everyone around you. You’re at rest now.
