Class of ‘28 Lyric Watson had a good showing in Houston, TX @ The Clash of Clubs. In one of her best performances she recorded 13pts 6reb 3stls & 2ast.

Lyric is a versatile & athletic player that can guard multiple positions defensively and gets down hill to make plays on the offensive end. Her stock is continuing to grow!📈 #woodelitebasketball by @03kashhh.lyric

Player Spotlight: Lyric Watson
Class of 2028 | Guard/Forward | Kell High School
Honorable Mention All-Region

Since joining Wood Elite last spring, Lyric Watson has made an undeniable impact. Her toughness, versatility, and relentless energy have elevated our team on both ends of the court. A true positionless player, Lyric can confidently play all five spots and brings intensity every time she steps on the floor.

She leads our team in rebounds, scores efficiently around the basket, and is a consistent threat from midrange and beyond the arc. Defensively, she’s a game-changer—racking up highlight-reel blocks, guarding 1 through 5, and anchoring the front of our press where her length and athleticism force countless turnovers.

Despite playing primarily in the post, Lyric shows guard-level agility and decision-making. As just a freshman, she competes well above her age level and never backs down from a challenge.

We’re proud to have Lyric on our team and can’t wait to watch her continued rise. College coaches—this is a player you want on your radar. by @03kashhh.lyric
