Color study from movie “Old”. I am never finishing that shii

#procreate #artistoninstagram #colorstudy by @101.athlaz

Some quick color studies from movie shots. I really enjoy making these even if I can’t really make a finish product yet, they target my main issues: color theory and composition

A terrible portrait of our birthday boy Geto. I wish he could have grown older with his friends. My tragic little princess and a DAD 😛. If I take myself more in advance, this could definitely become a new art evolution check point.

Just my new pfp lol. To push myself to draw a bit every single day even if it’s something silly like this.

For context, nobody told me how to take care of my curly hair as a child so I pretty much was on my own with coconut cream and olive oil. But as always with everything I did back then, kids liked to dramatise it and make it an excuse to be straight up racist.

Being mixed African in a mostly white catholic school was truly a social experiment ET C’EST OK.

These moments seem silly now that I’m grown but I know they forever have affected my self confidence and also how much I trust other people.

My inconsistent yearly progress check. An artist will pick a silly ref on Pinterest and never let go. I got lazy on the clothes but i definitely improved my observation and painting skills.

"Yeah... that's not a normal hare (ﾟ∀ﾟ)..."

The result of my 5day sculpting session on therianthropes at @new3dge
Big thank you to @patrickmasson_sculptor for his precious guidance, always the resourceful teacher with crazy strong hands 🗿
It's the first time I can undoubtedly see the progress I made with this medium since last year (for those who know 😅...)

(repost) Here's my final plaster drawing for the "light and value" course at @new3dge. I enjoyed the process so much, took me 3 days and still wish I got more time to fully render it.

I will post some part of the process and other sketches later on so stay tuned✨
