POSTS STORIES REELS

For the last few months I have been quietly celebrating 6 years of teaching Curls Unlocked, the precision curly cutting system I created!

I’m happy to announce that not only does my mission remain strong, but I am once again a Free Agent and working 100% independently as an educator. I’m so grateful to every step that has lead me here and continue to evolve and elevate in my craft.

➡️ Next Stop: Seattle
Monday, October 26 from 10-2 @scoutsalonseattle

I’m bringing my OG Curls Unlocked material to an intimate group of stylists for a live demo and deep dive into my technique, the principles behind it, and how to incorporate it behind the chair.

Less than 10 tickets available, link in bio. by @1800hellyeah

Length choice is essential for short cuts on curly hair. How short can you go while honoring the texture and leaving a soft result?

My male clients tend to like an undone finish that feels unique, intentional and lived in.

There’s no faking what’s real.

After 10 years behind the chair and 5 years educating, my approach to tailoring haircuts to each individual has deepened.

A tailored approach isn’t on me, it’s in me. And I’m ready to share that with you.

Portland, Monday, June 22nd.
Sunset Hour @khanastudi0.

We’ll break down how to tailor your haircuts across all textures.

Limited tickets drop this week.

Cut & Color crafted for Edgar.

He originally asked for an “ombré,” and I’m like… I hear you… but we can do even better than that. During the consultation it’s key to interpret your client’s needs and elevate what they know to be possible.

I created a lived in look that feels intentional, will grow out well and keep his maintenance low. by @1800hellyeah

Been really appreciating the love I’m getting on men’s cuts lately. Years ago I flew to La Jolla to train with my mentor @thekingly_hairgroup hoping to expand my toolbox for men’s hair. I’ve worked over the years to fine tune my stylistic eye and skill set to create lived in cuts that showcase my client’s natural texture.

These brothers represent my eye perfectly. On the left I wanted to create a soft yet structured look for Lennox, he’s only 2 and I didn’t want him to lose his baby curls or have a cut that aged him. On the right for Maverick, he’s been coming to me for a while, and his parents requested something that felt cool and styled. I went with a mod bang to frame his forehead and give his baby face some edge.

In just under 3 weeks CURLS UNLOCKED 101 Class is coming to Seattle! Monday, 10/26, hosted by my friends @scoutsalonseattle. This class will cover the foundation of my Precision Cutting Method for curls, CURLS UNLOCKED.

I’m letting you in on my thought process behind the chair, from start to finish. This is the class that started it all and I’ve taught all over the country. My training as a precision hair cutter, my own texture and experience and my love for knowledge have all been poured into this class.

If you are looking for a more structured, consistent and elevated approach to your curly services, this class is for you.

You won’t be learning a single haircut, you’re learning an approach that is translatable to all that you do behind the chair.

And with me, the cut is the style.

This is an intimate class with limited seats. Link in bio or drop a comment and I’ll DM it to you. by @1800hellyeah

Pinning this good hair day to my feed! Day 3 curls, post workout! It’s possible friends.

MY HOLY GRAILS:

➡️ @gmreverie Milk Leave In: it’s PH balancing and gives the best base for your products.

➡️ My satin bonnet from @htcollectionsuk !! She has the cutest custom colors and adjustable sizes.

➡️ @lululemon align headbands for when I’m working out! If my hair is up I go for the wide and when it’s down I wear the thinner size.

➡️ @mizani CocoDew Refresh spray! This is constantly stocked in my house. My son and I both use this to refresh and detangle our curls in between wash days.

This is precision. The movement you are seeing is not a coincidence, this is head mapping in motion.

Each section is carefully crafted with your anatomy in mind. Using technique to control shape, weight and suitability. Even my tools have been thoughtfully curated. This is not easily replicated.

When you let IG randomly choose the audio 🥵

3 years cutting Drew and each year we dial it in even tighter! Funny story… I met his wife in the bathroom and after pouring our hearts out she’s like, “I think you should cut my husbands hair” 😅
