It’s kinda chic to shop local and support small businesses ✨ Today we stopped by 24 Carrot Farm and I’m officially wondering why we hadn’t been here sooner!! We picked up some of the freshest-looking produce, and let’s just say the strawberries didn’t even make it 5 minutes in the car 😂 (who needs to wash them anyway?!) And the best part? 24 Carrot Farm is certified organic, growing their own fruits and vegetables right here in Placerville 🌱🍓🍑 Everything looked SO good, and you can seriously tell there’s so much care that goes into what they grow. It’s such a cute little farm stand and the perfect stop when you’re headed up into Apple Hill. We definitely wish we would’ve grabbed more because everything was that good😋 If you’re looking for a local spot to grab fresh, organic produce, add 24 Carrot Farm to your list! 🥕 #kindachic #24carrotfarm #foothillsfoodies #shoplocal #placerville by @24carrotfarm
Story time: After living, working and studying gastronomy and pastry arts in Chicago and New York, I came home to visit my parents in El Dorado Hills. My job transfer with the Ritz Carlton fell through and I had no idea what to do next. It took years to figure out why my journey flowed the way it did to lead me back here….to a land where some of the best produce on the PLANET is grown. Patrick Mulvaney @mulvaneysbl introduced me to my first farm and I’ve never looked back. Here are a list of the farms we use with the products that are currently on our shelf at this moment! @alisonsorganic @24carrotfarm @fiddymentfarms @mtmoriahfarms @rincontropics @strausmilk @twinpeaksorchards @yolopress @bigsursalts @full_belly_farm @good_humus @sierranevadacheese @aracelifarms @thecloverleaffarm @saeturnfarms @solabeehoney @rodriguezbros.ranch American River Cherry Co Daniel’s Family Farm Vega farms Meridian Orchards #supportlocalfarms #farmtotable #knowyourfarmer by @24carrotfarm

This is the special time of year where summer crosses over into fall and everything is available at the same time! Tomatoes, melons, pumpkins and broccoli! Strawberries, apples, figs and persimmons! It’s the best time of year don’t let it pass you by! by @24carrotfarm
A fall day in Apple Hill 🍎🍂 and so many places I already want to go back to. We started at Bluestone Meadow Farm for Handblown Glass Pumpkin Patch. It was incredible watching 2B Glass owners/brothers Aaron + Tate work their magic during their live glassblowing demo. I have officially started a new glass pumpkin collection! Next was 24 Carrot Farm, a place I’ve followed for years and couldn’t wait to finally visit. Their farmstand exceeded my expectations. Beautiful produce, U-Pick flowers and pumpkins, local baked goods, Bay Area pastas, cheeses and so much more…a local food lover’s dream. At Smokey Ridge Ranch, the chestnuts immediately transported me back to Marradi, Italy, where I experienced their annual chestnut festival. I love when a place brings back a memory like that. Add in apples, cider, local goods and those gorgeous views, and it was such a special stop. And finally, Apple Pantry Farm. ❤️ A true family-run gem where we were welcomed with warm smiles, fresh pies and still-warm caramel apples. Apple pie with ice cream was obviously a must. Days like this are exactly why I love exploring California. There are so many incredible family businesses, makers, farms and stories tucked into every corner.  I’ll definitely be back. 🍎 by @24carrotfarm
