RIP Tim Curry, you dear soul, and a shoutout to @DrFNFurter, the comedic genius, for what I would say is the best Twitter post in history. by @2thirty
For all my friends who've ever found themselves love-spiraling: a new experimental film based on found audio cassette footage from the summer of 1998, when a young Brian yearned for the return of his beloved, Amanda. The re-mixed love letter is now set to present day footage shot on a Japanese toy camera in the same part of rural Illinois, near Starved Rock State Park. by @2thirty

Written by Else: Entertaining the Fantastical ou réveiller l’imaginaire: An Interdimensional Performative Lecture. Is a live-cinematic experiment in which fantasy becomes method and imagination becomes analytic device. Staged in Lausanne and filmed in real time, the project inhabits the unstable terrain between myth and social reality, asking what cinema can reveal about the stories we tell in order to sustain “The Real.” Working through what we call an interdimensional performative discontinuous narrative, the lecture mobilizes cinematic devices—fragmentation, repetition, diegetic rupture, tonal dislocation—to simultaneously advance, undermine, and reconstitute its own narrative universe. Rather than presenting fantasy as escapism, the project treats it as a sociological instrument: a way of exposing the contradictions, longings, and symbolic scaffolding that structure everyday life. Somewhere between myth and empirical certainty, social truth flickers. Audience members will not simply observe; they will participate. Through structured role-play, they will be invited to inhabit speculative identities, alternate timelines, and impossible scenarios. These staged ruptures will be filmed, folding the spectators into the cinematic text itself. The boundaries between lecturer and character, analysis and performance, documentation and fabrication will blur. The resulting film will be neither straightforward ethnography nor pure fiction. Instead, it will function as a layered meditation on the ineffable and ethereal dimensions of human interaction—on our collective obsession with coherence, causality, and authenticity. By entertaining the fantastical, we do not escape the social world; we encounter its hidden architectures more directly. by @2thirty
Screening: April 5, 15:30 - Cinéma de l’Étoile, Paris In this poetic experimental film, an actor named Bry’n reflects on dying — his own, his mother’s, and his son’s. Fragmentary recollections coalesce in his soliloquy as he invokes various roles he has played in the filmmaker’s earlier works, searching for a way to understand what it truly means to live and to die. Ultimately, he finds himself embracing the immeasurable grief of death alongside the overwhelming absurdity of being alive. The film is the first in a series of experimental “ethnofictions” that explore a private, intimate subject within a public environment. The principal photography is generated by an unrestricted public web-streaming camera — in this case, the CCTV security camera at the Northwestern University Sailing Center in Evanston, Illinois (USA). The material itself — imagery, scripted text, and sound — emerges from a creative collaboration between the filmmaker and the subject. by @2thirty
In this poetic experimental film, an actor named Bry’n reflects on dying — his own, his mother’s, and his son’s. Fragmentary recollections congeal in his soliloquy, as he invokes various film roles he’s played in the filmmaker’s past films, to make sense of what it really means to live and to die. Ultimately, he finds himself embracing and connecting the incalculable grief of death and the overwhelming absurdity of living at all.
