KHOTACHIWADI

In the heart of Bombay is this magical little village, over two centuries old, born from the mixture of Portuguese, Marathi and colonial influences.

47-A never stops feeling privileged to call it our home!

What a mind blowing afternoon of artisanal craft, geometry and thoughtful design !

NIF Global Andheri & Bandra’s Design Faculties & students visited 47-A to experience the curated designer label exhibition featuring Ka-Sha, where appliqué, patchwork, geometric patterns and minimal colour palettes came together as wearable art.

Every garment reflected the beauty of artisanal craftsmanship, while the gallery’s thoughtfully designed spaces, considered colour palettes and detailed installations made the experience immersive and inspiring.

Congratulations to 47-A for curating a beautiful celebration of design and craftsmanship. We are grateful for the opportunity to introduce our students to such inspiring design experiences beyond the classroom.

@ka_sha_india In love with your designs and textiles, all your pieces are masterpieces ❤️🤌✨

Before it became 47-A (@47a.design), a design gallery in Girgaon, this Khotachiwadi bungalow housed a printing press and even a gym for a brief spell. Today, it’s all about furniture, ceramics and design, with a little heritage and a lot of history thrown in.
