Humanity is an art form on its own. The way we interact with one another, the emotions we share and the dreams we pursue, are all diverse pixels in this great masterpiece called humanity.

In my journey through street photography, I have been blessed to experience life through the single eye of the lens, appreciating the interplay of light and shadow, mood and memory. This journey has been an awakening, deepening my connection to people and the stories that unfold in ordinary spaces.

Street Credibility celebrates the authenticity, grace, and beauty expressed by people in thier element. This series is an expression of my deepest gratitude to photography and a tribute to the divine art of humanity itself

Feet in shoes
know not how hard
the ground is to the barefoot.
As water reflects the face,
so one’s life reflects the heart.

Isese is the traditional practice, custom and heritage of the Yoruba people. It embodies Yoruba Art, culture, spirituality (which include the worship, rituals and ways of the plantheon of Orisa), and worldview. It serves as a conduit for character formation, social relationship and engaments. it forges identity, adds meaning to life and regulates social life.

To honor and preserve the yoruba way that is Isese, every year, the Isese community organize the Isese Day celebrations the day involves festivities that is usually garnished by drumming, rituals, procession and offerings channeled to honoring our heritage in other to bring forth blessings to the Yoruba race and all who come under the tree and to also reinforce bond within the community.

There have been calls for national recognition of Isese Day as a public holiday in Nigeria. Advocates argue that recognizing Isese Day promotes cultural justice, could boost heritage tourism, and contribute to national unity by celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the Yoruba people. Recently, some southwestern states like Lagos, Oyo and Ogun have recognized Isese Day and it's influence and accepted August 20th as Isese Day.

Is brilliance only valid when it exists inside university walls?

A Babaláwo must memorize and interpret all 16 major Odù and 240 minor combinations from physical marks cast on a divination tray or chain. It takes intense concentration, discipline, and intellectual rigour the exact qualities we praise in modern academia.

In this piece, writer Okafor Chiamaka challenges how we define knowledge and intelligence.
