💫 It’s time to ignite the holoprojectors once again and spotlight the incredible people behind the buckets, flight suits, rad T‑shirts, uniforms and of course, the puppies who help keep the Squads of the 501st Legion’s Southern California Garrison battle‑ready.

We’re proud to be a Garrison made up of Five dedicated Regional Squads:

🔺Channel Islands
🔺Inland Empire
🔺Los Angeles
🔺Orange County
🔺San Joaquin

Garrison Leadership includes our Squad Leaders and Squad Event Coordinators, who work tirelessly to support their troopers - coordinating troop missions, strengthening communications, and working to keep Squad operations running smoother than a hyperspace jump.

If you’ve got questions, ideas, or a mission you’re ready to launch within our Garrison, please transmit your message through the link in our bio.

We stand ready to serve the Empire, and every loyal citizen across the galaxy.

Three nights @santabarbarazoo for Boo at the Zoo and bringing the Imperial energy! 🎃 Turns out we’re much better at posing with trick-or-treaters than hitting targets. Thank you to every family, every costume, and every kid brave enough to say hi to Vader’s finest.

⚡️TROOPER OF THE QUARTER: DZ-63021 - SAN JOAQUIN SQUAD⚡️
Q3’s TOTQ has been officially logged, and the honor goes to @sanjoaquinsquad very own DZ-63021! Please join us in congratulating her!

🔹Transmission from SJ Squad Leader Madison:🔹
“Since 2012 Krisi has been apart of SJS before becoming an official member in 2021. From wrangling, taking photos and by even helping make members costumes. Her hard work and passion for the squad does not go unnoticed. Krisi’s dedication for the squad has even included watching members kids in order for them to attend events. Members can agree she is like the mama bear of the squad. She makes sure we’re all taken care of. Krisi has cooked at every armor party she has hosted at her house and has brought food to countless gatherings, including troops. She has brought troops to the squad and when she became a full member in 2021 she POCed and trooped as much as possible. I am happy and proud that Krisi is being recognized as trooper of the quarter, because she of all people deserves it.”

🔸Message from Kristina’s Husband Erick Main:🔸
“I can’t say enough about how much what we do means to her. As a pediatric hospice nurse she brought us troops that will stay with us forever. Something else that members might know is she’s a mom to everyone. She truly cares about all the members and loves to feed and lookout for them. She made this club a family activity for our family and I can’t imagine being in this club without her support and love. The charity aspect means the world to her and even when I’m not feeling it she will push to get us to trooping. I’m incredibly proud of who she is. She is genuine and honest. She is kind and loves this organization.”

Our quarterly nominations come directly from Squad Leadership and are brought before Garrison Command for a final vote. Kristina’s commitment, clarity, and care for her fellow troopers is recognized and reflected honorably in the SCG 💫

It just keeps getting Weirder and Weirder, and we’re absolutely here for it! SCG was proud to be part of the production crew for Weird Al Yankovic’s “Bigger and Weirder” Tour 2026, suiting up for every stop in Palm Desert, Paso Robles, and Anaheim. Backstage was fun, on stage was funner, and photo ops with Al were straight‑up legendary.
Every troop heals our inner child and lights up our fandom, and we couldn’t be prouder of our Event Coordinators, POCs, and Troopers who put in the work to make this happen.

Stay weird, and stay safe my friends 💫🪩

🌞 Summer State of Mind! In Southern California, we don’t wait for summer, we live in it. Year‑round sunshine, year‑round deployments. As the Summer Solstice wrapped up, here’s a look at just some the missions we captured across the sector:
🧸🏰 CHOC Walk - Disneyland Resort! Our Charity Officer Randy led SCG’s first-ever appearance at the CHOC Walk as a non‑armored mission. At 5:30AM, Team SCG/501st Legion stepped off for a 3‑mile march with members, families, Squad, and Garrison leadership. Together, we raised $2,984.35 to support Children’s Hospital of Orange County, a deployment worthy of the Empire’s finest. We aim to top those numbers next year, for sure!
⭐📺 MultiCon unites fans, creators, talent, brands, and industry leaders to turn fandom into real‑world impact. Supporting Make An Impact and their mission to strengthen communities through local nonprofits, SCG @mandagalaar and @sunriderbase proudly brought the full force of the Legion to help amplify their cause.
🫯✨ Squad Challenge: @cisquad501st vs. @lasquad501st gathered for a friendly skirmish of pure fun, joined by our allies from @mandagalaar and in true SoCal fashion, we’ll call it straight: everyone’s a winner when the Garrison rolls together.
☀️🍊 Sunny Hills High School Homecoming was the the place to be!
💫 LA Cancer Challenge - Downey lit up with smiles as troopers brought joy to fans of all ages!
🌊⚡️ Long Beach Comic Con, like many Cons, are great opportunities for Community Outreach and Recruitment. Huge shoutout to @lasquad501st leadership for teaming up with @sunriderbase to keep the con running smoother than a Star Destroyer bridge.

Have a good week everyone! Stay safe, and stay excellent to yourself 💫

We’re only a week late into this, but we still have to honor those lucky enough to grow a truly galactic beard ✨
On International Beard Day, we salute the Sith Lords, Imperial officers, and Troopers whose facial hair could intimidate an entire star system…even if some spend 90% of its life trapped under a bucket and plotting its escape.
And yes, we also honor the Jedi whose beards are worthy contenders, since somebody has to keep the balance…especially when the real battle is figuring out whose beard oil delivers superior results across the galaxy.
