285 days ago doctors told me there was a chance I would not be able to participate in any physical activity for close to an entire year. I told myself I would not let that happen and I would do whatever it would take to get back to what I love to do as fast as I could. Yesterday I ran and completed my first Half marathon. With the “Bend don’t break” on my back I knew there was no slowing up and no quitting, although when I face the final bridge coming back to the South side of Pittsburgh I thought my body would shut down on me. But I feel I pushed myself past my limits and went to the breaking point but I knew i’d get through it because of you guys, your constant support and engagement with myself and our team is so important to me and makes me strive to be better than I was the day before. I believe everyone should challenge themselves at least once in a while because the human mind is much stronger than what you think it is. Here’s to many more races and mentally challenging moments, and I hope you guys take on them as well. Remember “Bend don’t break” no matter what. Pittsburgh I’ll see you next May 🤙🏽🌴 by @5_hess

What Bend don’t break means to me. - - I’ve been thinking of a way to explain to you guys what it means to me and why it is so important to me. This last year I had my fair share of moments where I felt I was going to break, but I knew I couldn’t. That’s what I want to teach you guys, to always stay positive no matter the circumstances❤️🏄‍♂️🤙🏽 by @5_hess

Still getting the hang of the content creation side of running a business, but I can say it has been a blast filming and editing these day-in-the-life videos. I’ve always loved the idea of content creation, and I’m so excited to be in the position I am in to begin growing my social media presence and sharing my journey with you guys. #contentcreator #benddontbreak #thesurfspot #vlog #diml by @5_hess
