The most magical 48 hours in Ireland to celebrate two incredible humans 🇮🇪🇨🇦

Endlessly thankful for my friends who accept me and enjoy spending quality time with me when I’m not at my most exciting. This 🇲🇹 trip was filled with beautiful scenery and scooter trips but also naps, many book pages read, and easy ocean floats 🩷 Wouldn’t have changed a thing

Thank you @skmoores for sharing your new world with me 🫶🏼🥰 by @72theking

Saw some cool rocks with some cool people today 🪨😎 by @72theking

Today is the closing date for our Montreal condo sale.

This condo was my first ever owned property, and where Brad and I started our family. Countless celebrations, renovations, birthdays, Christmases, and too many Harvey photos and mirror selfies to count.

So much happened in the 9 years I was there that it’s hard to say goodbye, and it means that chapter has truly closed. As we start on our next one, I’m so grateful for all the wonderful memories in our previous pages.

Cheers to whatever shenanigans are coming our way next 🍻 by @72theking

On Monday February 18th, 2019 I got a (rambling) email from one Peter Carpenter asking me if I might be interested in a coaching position starting that fall. 6 and a half years later it’s the hardest goodbye I’ve ever had to say.

To all the athletes: it has been the privilege of my life to be a part of your lives. To see you overcome the hard times, to be there with you celebrating the wins and all the small moments in between that make the wins that much more special - I will forever hold those memories so close to my heart. I am incredibly proud of what you’ve accomplished in and out of the pool, and I will always be cheering you on in the future. There is so much more to come, and you will ALWAYS have me in your corner 🫶🏼

To @coachcarpenter74 and @nikki_vannoord : The Dream Team! I could not have asked for two more lovely, passionate people to call my colleagues. Peter, my mentor, my friend, my officiant… you changed my life the day you sent that email, and I will be grateful for the rest of my life for every day we spend together since then.
Nikki, my nail partner and my twin, thank you for always making me laugh and for always having a crazy story to keep me entertained. From coach and athlete, to colleagues and friends, and I’m looking forward to many more years of the last one. I can’t wait to keep up with all the things you accomplish in coaching 🫶🏼

To all those who are thinking of McGill Swimming for your future university team: it will be the best decision you will ever make.

Beyond the medals, banners, and best performance, the thing I am going to miss most is the people that made every day feel like it wasn’t a job - it was a gift to be able to be on deck with this group.

I love you all so much.

A quick hello and Dubai by @72theking

A weekend I will not soon forget….

Before the meet started we knew it would be a battle to the last race, and the way this team stepped up when they needed to was an inspiration.

The 2nd place finish was the best result in program history on the women’s side, and the highest placing since the men won the national title in 1972. I can’t begin to tell you how proud I am of these athletes!

There is a particularly soft spot in my distance-coach heart for the King’s Court. 100% scoring swims in the 400 free and distance events, and 4 of the top 10 800 freestylers including an individual bronze medal by @iris.tinmouth . I am beyond words.

Thank you to the athletes for everything you put into this, to the parents for being the MVPs of the stands, and to my fellow coaches and staff who put their hearts and souls into this team.

Until next year… 👋🏼 by @72theking
