Somewhere between the school drop-offs, the laundry piles, the late nights, and the constant “mom, mom, mom”… I forgot that I was a woman first. I forgot what it felt like to take up space for me. I forgot what confidence looked like in my own reflection.

Motherhood has a way of making you pour so much into everyone else that you slowly disappear without even noticing. And some days, I don’t feel beautiful. Some days, I don’t feel strong. Some days, I barely recognize the version of myself staring back in the mirror.

But then I remember… my kids do.

They don’t see the tired eyes or the doubts I carry. They see comfort. They see safety. They see love. They see home. To them, I’m still magic even when I feel invisible. ✨

So maybe I didn’t lose myself after all. Maybe I just became someone stronger, deeper, and softer in ways I’m still learning to appreciate. And maybe one day, I’ll see myself the way they see me. 🤍 by @_____shaunda
