ÓRBIT Nº04 — BUILDING THE FLOOR Forget the tips lists. We went to the interviews: how minimal’s long-set DJs actually hold a room, in their own words. 01 · Rhythm first. “The secret about the dancefloor is the rhythm.” — Ricardo Villalobos 02 · The warm-up is a craft. Gerd Janson still plays the early slots at Robert Johnson with “slow and boring music, and happily so.” 03 · Steer, don’t brake. “We’re DJs, not emergency brakes!” — Margaret Dygas 04 · The blend. Long tracks mixed so people forget which one is starting. 05 · The bag. Craig Richards never plays a record he doesn’t like: “the difference between being a waiter and a chef.” 06 · Time. A Romanian night runs warm up → main → after-hours. The crowd wants “14 hours of flowing music.” 07 · You’re part of it. “I see myself as a dancer within the people.” — Villalobos No drops. No hits. Just a long line, held together. Save this for your next set, and send it to the DJ who rushes the peak. That’s what we mean by making each chapter of this great story, an intention, a Horizon where you can feel free through Music and that would not be possible without all of you, thank you for creating culture with us and making moments more and more special! by @__janska
Not everyone will understand this. And that’s exactly the point. From the Dominican Republic to Miami’s underground circuit, Ennio Skoto has been shaping a sound rooted in groove, tension, and movement. Influenced by names like Ricardo Villalobos and Richie Hawtin, his sets move through hypnotic basslines, organic textures, and melodies that don’t let go. He’s shared the booth with artists like Chris Stussy, Archie Hamilton, Traumer, Petre Inspirescu, and Chaos In The CBD— a reflection of the level he operates on. This is not just a set, it’s a journey. Alongside @__anthony__perez @eighty_daysofc @janskamusic @djmikezavala @amiresta_ @amiresta_ holding the energy exactly where it needs to be. No distractions. No excess. Just sound, connection, and intention. Bucle is not a party. It’s a state of mind. Tickets out now. Link in bio. by @__janska
June 6, 2025 was seriously one for the books- open to close with @vylan_sound at @stvitustulsa and an incredible, hungry crowd. I’m extremely grateful to everyone who pulled up! It’s been nearly a year since I captured this and with a ton of technological challenges and key frame chaos (don’t record with 2 360 cams for 5 hours- don’t ask, or do 😂), I’m happy to share these clips with y’all. No full set yet and unsure if that will happen but regardless I’m so grateful for this night and the Tulsa community that pulled up. Hope to be back soon :) by @__janska
