POSTS STORIES REELS
hello hi it’s jess :) welcome to my digital diary where i’ll be posting all my silly little dance videos and silly little thoughts here and there. this was mainly created so i can stop bothering the ppl on my close friends story on my main acc lol. since i’ve come back to la, and after taking a break from dance for a few years, i’m starting to regain my love for dance. i’m learning how to have a growth mindset when i walk into a class and to not be so hard on myself. as a result, i’m slowly finding joy in dance again. in class you’re just staring at yourself in the mirror for an hour and a half and it’s so hard not to compare yourself to everyone else you also see in that mirror, but we’re working on it :’) coming back to dance has also connected me with so many amazing new ppl - instructors and other ppl in class - all who have been so incredibly encouraging and kind. i have so many more thoughts but moral of the story: i’m v thankful for dance, the dance community, and the joy that God is allowing me to experience in this new chapter of my life ! 🎶: bare wit me - @teyanataylor 🧠: @nain._.jo by @__jehseekuh

1.26.26 long time no diary entry… time to clear out the camera roll. season 2 audition piece featuring smudged camera lens. training w uprūt has been such an incredible blessing. i can’t believe it’s alr been a year and 3 months! i love training w my fellow uprūt members who are just as hungry as me, if not more, to grow and cultivate their craft. i’m challenged and inspired every week by their work ethic and dedication. and they’re also just amazing ppl :’) the mentorship that i’ve been receiving from eileen and diny has been invaluable and i’m constantly encouraged and motivated by them <3 still much more work to be done but we’re making strides! 🎶: do what i say - @kwnway 🧠: @eileeeenkim by @__jehseekuh

9.27.25 first ever choreo project for uprūt in the books :’) this project was such a mentally challenging and vulnerable process for me personally. yes i’ve choreographed in the past, but only a few times, and something about it felt so different this time around. i may not have created a piece that was mind-blowing or standing ovation worthy, or extremely intricate and complex, but when i look back on this project, it will be something that i can be proud of myself for creating at this point in my dance journey. maybe it’s because since joining this team, my desire to grow as a dancer, an artist, and even just as a human being has increased exponentially over the past 4 months. coming back to dance in the last couple of years and trying to redefine my relationship with it has been a challenging process, and it’s still ongoing, but i’m so grateful to @eileeeenkim and @dinykim for cultivating a space where i can feel so safe and supported in the ups and downs of this journey. a special thanks to my fellow uprūt members for being some of the most encouraging people i’ve ever met. i couldn’t think of a better group of people to showcase in front of. you’re all so insanely talented and you all inspire me constantly :’) love you all <33 🎶: stay a while - @whoisnikorain @ejtheloser by @__jehseekuh
4.23.25 definitely one for the books :’) 🎶: mutt (cb remix) - @leonthomas 🧠: @joesaralva by @__jehseekuh
