We left our editing/music production caves to get some our own photos from @shannonmasseyphoto ❤️

PS. Can’t wait for @_sethweaver to share what he’s working on 🤭🥰🤯 by @_ashleekay

There have been moments in my 16 years as a photographer when I wasn’t sure I wanted to keep going. Burnout. Watching the industry shift. Seeing styles come (and go) that never quite felt like me.
But every time a season ends and another one begins to fill, I’m reminded how grateful I am that I get to do this.

Thank you for recommending me. Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for being here. by @_ashleekay

Just a reminder that "just because" is a great reason to get your photos taken. ☺ by @_ashleekay

Day four of sharing my work each day in November! What a sweet day this was. Loved these detail shots 🥰 by @_ashleekay

Day three of sharing my work each day in November! I posted a few of these a few months back but wanted them back at the top of my feed 🥰🫶🏼 by @_ashleekay

Day 2 of posting each day in November! Loved being Taylor and Steven’s wedding photographer in September. 😍It was a beautiful day! by @_ashleekay

This is the month I’m planning on sharing my work! 😍 I’ll be sharing each day in November. That’s the hope, since I’ve neglected my socials this year haha 🫶🏼

Here are my friends, The Ayers! by @_ashleekay

These portraits brought to you in partnership with the sun.

Also, I’m only booking 10 weddings for 2027, So if you know someone looking for a photographer, send them my way! 🥰 by @_ashleekay

Things I do wrong as a business owner that I won’t change (after 19 years)

1. I deliver session galleries before people pay sometimes. I trust that people are good and probably just forgot. I’ve had maybe three unpaid invoices in 19 years as a photographer.

2. On that same topic, I barely watch payment deadlines. Sometimes I realize right before a session or wedding that someone hasn’t paid yet. When they apologize, I’m usually like, “Oh, I didn’t notice.” lol

3. I care more about people than my processes. I have contracts and policies, but I’m not going to point to a line in a contract just because technically I can. I’ve always wanted to run my business more casually and this is ministry to me. The relationship matters more.

4. I overshoot and over-deliver. If I deliver exactly what you booked for, I’ve failed in my mind lol.

5. I will forget your husband’s name. *I’m sorry to this man*. 😂 I know the person who booked, I try hard to learn the kids names, but husbands get left behind unless your name is DAVID OR JOHN.

6. I’ve never charged an extra fee. Last-minute reschedule? Life happens. Late payment? Who’s paying attention? Not me. People generally try to do the right thing. I’ve had A LOT of good people book me in these two decades and sometimes life just happens.

7. (This is the hot button) I don’t care if you edit over my photos after I deliver. If you think the Instagram filter slapped on it looks better (it doesn’t), I won’t stop you. Just tag me so your friends can see my real work. 😉

8. I’m a wedding photographer who doesn’t like photographing proposals. I LOVE love, but trying to find two people I’ve never met while staying hidden is STRESSFUL. And why are men always choosing high noon instead of golden hour?! Your future wife wants golden hour lighting, bruh. 😝 by @_ashleekay

Huge congratulations to the Flights!! 🥰 Being your wedding photographer was incredibly special to me!! by @_ashleekay
