Counting the days until we return to each other,
Two hearts intertwined since the womb.

y regreso brote tierno.

Soy Mujer Maíz,
vientre de los cosmos,
memoria sembrada,
rezadora del equilibrio
entre cielo, agua y raíz. by @_ayasham_

Memories from Tuate 🤎✨
Had one of the most beautiful experiences visiting the remaining three ceramists from Tuate Boyaca who continue to preserve the traditional ways of clay. From harvesting the clay in the mountain, to using one of the most elaborate handbuilding techniques, and firing the pieces in with the open pit firing knowns as quema suelana which can be traced down to the indigenous ceramist form this region. This trip transformed me in so many ways. Grateful to have been in the presence of such incredible and admirable women. 🤎✨ by @_ayasham_

Last workshop of the year Miami! 🫀
As I continue to dive deeper into supporting births the less I will be able to continue these in person offerings. Join us for a beautiful gathering where we will sculpt a copalera. A ceremonial vessel traditionally used to burn copal, herbs or resins. It is used for prayer, cleansing offerings, blessings, danza, birth ceremonies and more! A copalera serves as a bridge between the physical and spiritual world 🔥💨🤲🏽

Finally getting around to sharing these process shots from the most incredible figure sculpting course taught by @dorandy_mercado at @mercado_art_studio 🧡

This figure was inspired by Bachue, the primordial mother. She represents life, fertility, motherhood, wisdom, and water. In Muysca cosmovision, water is not only water. It is the womb of existence, the place where spirit becomes flesh. Bachué rises from that sacred depth as the embodiment of fertility and the eternal feminine force that nourishes all beings.🐍🫁 by @_ayasham_
