The Lord really does have a sweet way of bringing beauty from ashes…in our case, quite literally!! We are beyond excited and overwhelmed by the goodness of God that we get to steward a gift like this!!! We can’t wait to make the best memories here!!!! by @_babytdoza

Coming out of my social media hiatus to celebrate a bunch of gifts that I’m so so grateful for today!

•2 years of marriage! Marriage is such a gift and marrying a beautiful, kind, loving, and steadfast woman who is also your best friend and a comedian is the best!
•Tío life (Linds and I didn’t have a baby😂) is amazing because I mean cmon. Luca is the cutest and watching my siblings become parents has been such a joy!
•God has blessed Linds and I with amazing friends to do life with! We moved here 2 years ago and God has been truly gracious to bless us with a beautiful community! It has taken time to develop as all relationships do, but the gift is a rich blessing!
•Pastoring NLSM has been a blast and a half. I work with the greatest team of friends, I get to lead amazing young men and young women, come out of basketball retirement once a week to hoop with JH+HS students, and I get to preach the gospel and disciple students for a living.

Life has been full of transition, busyness, ups and downs, but the gifts that God has given me clearly display His faithfulness and goodness to me. I’m just grateful and I wanted to share! by @_babytdoza

It’s been a minute since I’ve been on here and a whole lot has happened over the last 6 months!

-Graduated college in April
-Married the love of my life on May 27
-Moved to CO Springs June 7
-Moved into a beautiful new home with my sweet wife
-Started working as the Junior High Pastor at New Life Church
-Wild summer of youth nights, camps, Desperation Conference, and recording music with @despoworship
-Linds and I’s apartment building got struck by lightning and burned down. We picked up the pieces, grieved, and felt the love of the church body, friends, and family for months following the fire.
-The Lord blessed us with a beautiful new place that is becoming more and more home everyday.

This song, Worthy God, which just released today (subtle plug) has been the song I’ve been singing for the last 6 months. As I reflect on God’s faithfulness in bringing Lindsay and I together in marriage, and blessing me with a home and the privilege of being a youth pastor, I can’t help but to praise His worthy name. In the fatigue and tragedy of moving, building a home together only for it to burn down a few months into us living in CO, and the many heavy things of life over these months, I still can’t help but praise Jesus for how He has sustained me through days when I didn’t know if I’d be able to keep going strong.

So there’s my postgrad life update. Love these people in these pics and I’m real grateful for God’s goodness! by @_babytdoza

The phrase that I’ve been coming back to over and over as I look back on the last few months is simply that I am overwhelmed by God’s goodness and faithfulness in my life. I got to see it so clearly this summer in these people, in being able to preach the gospel to the next generation, and in learning what it means to abide in Jesus. It’s a genuine privilege to do life and ministry with each of these people. Time to finish this last year at ORU and enjoy the heck out of it🤘🏾 by @_babytdoza

this semester was a grind. the most tired, close to burnout, and drained i’ve ever been in my life. as i look back over the last 4 months, i can see how the Lord sustained me so beautifully by His grace. i see part of that sweet grace through these people. grateful for each of you. community is essential to God’s sustaining process in our lives so often, and I’ve been blessed to see that this year. love each of you v much. by @_babytdoza

Mateo’s quarterly long life update post ahead:
2020 has been a year of some of the highest highs of my life and some of the lowest lows, which I’m sure a good amount of people can relate to. I had some of my greatest memories with friends, played lots of music, got time with my family in quarantine that I wouldn’t have had without the rona, and started dating the most beautiful and kind girl on earth.

In the midst of the highs, on the inside I had some of the deepest emotional and spiritual wrestlings of my life. One of the main reasons for this was feeling extremely distant from the Lord, which has lasted for quite some time now. There’s a few things I know in the midst of wrestling through this currently that I think some of you need to know:
-God uses silence to help us trust and love Him more.
-Distance or silence does not mean God is not doing something.
-Joy is based in deeply knowing the personhood of Jesus and His faithfulness, not what I feel in any amount of time.
-I am starting to see God speak to me and love me through people in my life. I too often limit His “best work” to the secret place or a corporate setting, but the reality is that the work of the Spirit includes using others. God using people to speak to you is not “less spiritual” than hearing from Him directly.
-He is STILL faithful. I can look back in my life and see time and time again God’s beautiful love and faithfulness through what He’s done. The Devil so often brings spiritual amnesia to make us forget what God has done, but we have the opportunity to worship the Lord in our minds and remind our souls of His faithfulness.
What have I chosen to remind myself of? That God demonstrates His love to me in that while I was still a sinner, Christ died for me. That I’m a new creation. That I’m adopted as a legitimate son. That He freed me from shame, an addiction to pornography and lust 3.5 years ago by His grace alone. That the message of the gospel is forever my anchor and hope.

Friends, remember the Lord’s graciousness. There’s not a moment He hasn’t pursued your heart. If you’ve made it through all this, I hope this encourages you. Here’s some of what I’m grateful for this year. by @_babytdoza
