Some places deserve more than just a quick food review 🫶🏽🇬🇭 Had such a great time capturing Dee’s Kitchen and the people behind it. You can feel the love and care that goes into what they do and I’m so happy I got to experience it for myself. Definitely a business I’m happy to put more people onto. ❤️ A huge thank you to the Taste & Trade Festival for creating a platform where small businesses can showcase what they do, connect with new people, and get the recognition they deserve. 🫶🏽 So many amazing businesses and stories all in one place! @_deescuisine @africanfamilyconnect #DeesKitchen #TorontoEats #SupportLocal #TorontoFoodScene #GhanaianCuisine by @_deescuisine
🇬🇭 Durham Tour stop number 19 is Dee’s Kitchen in Ajax—and we’re back on our journey of getting cultured! Aunty Dee turned a lifetime of cooking into a family-run business, bringing authentic Ghanaian flavours to Durham. From the refreshing sobolo and hearty waakye to the kelewele and jollof rice with baked chicken, she put down a serious spread! That jollof with the spicy shito kept calling us back. Add Dee’s Kitchen to the list and support this mom who took a chance on herself and followed her dream! ❤️ Looking to make an order or discuss catering options? Best Ghanaian jollof in Toronto and the GTA? Trying food from Dee’s kitchen in Ajax for the first time. What’s your favourite Ghanaian food? Can I add shito to everything or am I being greedy? #torontofood #foodreview #ghana #ghanaian #african by @_deescuisine
A few weeks ago I saw a video by @the.6ix.eats @bigbellymel and @chefdwightsmith about @_deescuisine and immediately added it to the top of my list. This was easily one of my favourite dining experiences this month. Nothing I love more than trying new foods and eating right out of an aunty’s back yard. If you’re looking to explore west African food I think Dee’s Ghanaian food is a great place to start. I can’t believe how much some of the dishes reminded me of things I ate growing up (obviously with different flavour profiles), but the way they made me feel was the same. We tried the Jollof & fried snapper, baked chicken, omo tip with peanut soup, and red red with fried plantains. I still think about that Jollof. by @_deescuisine
Thank you so much @_.prettyboystanley for coming all the way to Ajax to support Dees Kitchen. You are so appreciated 🙏🏿 by @_deescuisine
Jollof Series Episode 5: Dee's Kitchen 🇬🇭🔥 Ghanaian food isn't always easy to find in Toronto, especially in the East End, but Dee's Kitchen is a catering business I highly recommend. Easily some of the best Ghanaian food I've had in the city! The jollof had the perfect texture, the flavours were beautifully balanced, and once you add that shito, it takes everything to another level. Her jollof is so good that even a Nigerian couldn't deny it 🤣. The groundnut soup with rice balls was incredible, and honestly, we might need another plate. The standout for us, though, might have been the waakye. Every dish was packed with flavour and clearly made with care. With Dee's Kitchen, you really can't go wrong. If you've been looking for a place to try authentic Ghanaian food, definitely give them a try! #GhanaianFood #JollofRice #Waakye #ghana #foodie by @_deescuisine
