Life happened. by @_extremeways_

A day of climbing, cheering each other on, trying hard and having a lot of fun.

Our bouldering competition at @surufest was a friendly one, bringing climbers together to push themselves, share the stoke and enjoy a good day on the wall.

Big congratulations to @so_kako and @annalena.furtner, our winners! And a huge thank you to everyone who showed up, climbed, cheered and made the competition what it was. ❤️

We’re really grateful to @simond and @decathlonsportsindia for supporting us and being part of the climbing community at SuruFest. A special thank you to @goku_onthego from Simond for all the support and for being there with us.

Here’s to more climbing, more community and many more days like these in Suru.

UNBOXING THE ADVENTURE

Good adventures start with good gear.

At Surufest, we know how important reliable, well-designed gear is when you’re heading into the mountains. The right equipment gives us confidence to climb, explore, create, and take on whatever the adventure brings.

We’re really happy and grateful to receive this gear from Simond × Decathlon in support of Surufest.

It’s more than just what’s inside these boxes. It’s the support, trust, and belief in the community and experiences we’re building together.

Thank you, Simond & Decathlon, for being part of the Surufest journey.

Building Surufest — one piece, one person, one idea at a time.

Surufest is not just something we put together. It is something we build — with our hands, our imagination, our time, and most importantly, with each other.

Creating spaces out of love and hard work means looking at what already exists and asking: How can this live again?

For the community kitchen, we’re giving a new life to the beautiful logs from @avantikabawa ,s installation “zbayul” at the @sabiennale — reworking, adapting and transforming them into a space where people can cook, share food, meet, laugh and connect.

This is the spirit of recycling and regenerative construction: not throwing away, but reimagining. Not building from scratch every time, but carrying materials, stories and energy forward.

Every beam we reuse, every wall we shape, every hand that helps is part of the festival.

Surufest grows through community.
Built with love. Built by many hands. Built to give back.

Building a festival in the mountains means finding ways to bring power into the wild without taking away from the experience.

This year, EcoFlow is helping us do just that. We’ve been using their portable power stations throughout the SuruFest build — powering tools and equipment as we bring the site to life.

And once the festival begins, the same energy will keep things moving: from brewing coffee and powering the kitchen, to keeping our cameras, laptops and other essentials charged.

One power source, many parts of the SuruFest experience.

They say climbing is an individual sport, but anyone who’s been at the crag knows different. It’s the shared beta, the mutual hype, and the person holding your life in their hands at the other end of the rope. Climbing is nothing without the community.

It was an honour to be the Chief Goofycer of the Hues of Himalayas Parent-Child program that we hosted in Sethan earlier this May.

It’s safe to say masti levels were at it’s peak! And to summit up mountains & families go together really well

Recently, destiny and a phone call from my best friend took me to this magical place in Uttarakhand.

The few days I spent on the trail were truly magical, surrounded by the massive peaks you only read about, watch documentaries on, the very mountains that inspired me to seek out these places and capture these moments.

Out there, I finally understood that word people randomly throw around, ‘Spiritual’. It was absolute bliss. ✨⛰️
