This was genuinely one of the wildest shows I’ve had the privilege to be a part of, and I don’t think I could ever properly express my gratitude for all of you who made it that way. This was our second time playing for @madshows and it’s truly awesome to see somebody who’s clearly very dedicated to putting on for the scene and keeping all ages shows alive, which therefore keeps the scene alive. We love you buddy, keep up the amazing work. 🖤

Big big ups to @the.promised.end
@hemlockscurseofficial
@far.toolate
@burnkithc
Every one of these bands are sick af, so keep an eye out for them and go show your support.

Thank you to all of you who came out and danced your asses off. We ain’t shit without y’all. Everybody I talked to was super cool, and I promise to try to remember your names for next time 😂

See y’all soon. Much love forever. 🫶🖤 by @_free.chris_

I don’t usually do this for literally anybody, but you deserve it. I’m fucking proud of you dawg. We’ve both dragged each other through hell in our own ways, and I’m almost completely sure there was a point in time where we damn near hated each other’s guts. I’ll spare the details, because the real ones know. But we’re quite literally bonded through blood, and brotherhood is something that cannot be taken away. We’ve both gone a long time of being the dumbass party kids, and we’ve definitely watched each other become the worst versions of ourselves. But now it’s time to fuckin crush life. I’m super glad to be able to say you’re joining me in this journey of sobriety and self development. To see you as excited and enthusiastic as you are about grabbing life by the fucking balls makes me happy beyond words. I love you forever big dawg. Til death do us part. 🖤 by @_free.chris_

Built different… Like, incorrectly, I think.

My new single, “Not The Same,” is out now!!!

I had a lot of fun with creating this one. I usually write all of my songs with pen and paper, as I feel it gives my words more natural intention and direction, rather than typing in my notes. This time, I decided not to write or type anything. I’m not a freestyle rapper, nor would I consider this a full blown freestyle. I just removed a part of my usual process, which would be “beat > write > record” and went straight “beat > record.” Removing that buffer zone of writing down what I’m about to say, and just saying it without overthinking it was a very fun and enjoyable process. Sometimes you just gotta let everything flow out. I’m super excited to share this with y’all. 🖤

📸: @birdsandbreakdowns | Still riding the high from the Mayhem Market a couple weeks back!! Everybody ripped it. All the vendors, performers and bands worked their magic. Was great seeing the homies in @crypticentityctdm and getting to catch up for a bit, as well as getting some good pregame action with @tfrnhxhc before our New England run this weekend. Huge thank you again to @newenglandobscura for having us on such an amazing event. 🖤

This weekend, @chokeouthardcore and @tfrnhxhc will be hitting up some areas we haven’t been to since last year, and we’re super excited to see some friends and make some new ones!

Friday, 6/12 - Northampton, MA | @jjstavernma
Saturday, 6/13 - Essex Junction, VT | @1strepublic
Sunday, 6/14 - Providence, RI | @parlourprovidence

See y’all there!

@chokeouthardcore has a couple of unhinged shows coming up next month, starting with the Mayday Melee at @10selden on Saturday, May 2nd. Shoutout to @warcockentertainment for putting us on alongside so many other sick bands. @valuesma and @may.nee.ac were some of the first people who truly inspired me to be my full authentic self, and being able to share a stage with them really is a dream come true.

At the end of the month, we’ve got the @newenglandobscura Mayhem Market (Saturday, May 30th). There’s a shit ton of performers and vendors and we will be accompanying it with fight riffs. Fun fact, @crypticentityctdm is literally the first live band I ever saw back at Point Beach, back in the Anarchy Inc. days, and they also got Bellicose up to MA for the first time, which is how I met Choke Out. Very big full circle moment. Thank you guys for always being here.

If I don’t see you at either of these shows, I’m just gonna assume you don’t like to have fun. To my CT friends who’ve been wanting to catch a set, these are probably your only chances for a little bit. Come make some memories.

@chokeouthardcore is hitting the road this weekend with our new friends in @firingsquadhc, starting tonight with a hometown show that’s going to be off the freakin’ chain. Come say hi. Jump on your friends. Let’s have some fun.

WE HAVE ENTERED THE NEW ERA (pic unrelated, 📸: @gutter_shot )

‘King Davie’ is officially no more, and from this point on, my “stage name” will be ‘Free Chris.’ As some of you may know, the name ‘King Davie’ was literally inspired by a cat named Dave, way back in the Goofin’ days. That era was fun while it lasted, but I’ve decided to take this new name because I feel it’s more aligned with myself, my message, and my purpose. After all, Chris is my real name. This world doesn’t need any kings. I’d rather be free.

All King Davie tracks are currently being remastered and transferred to Free Chris across all streaming platforms. Some tracks are taking extra time to be distributed through Spotify/Apple Music etc, but other tracks are still up under King Davie for the time being. You can find any of my songs on SoundCloud/Bandcamp in the meantime (link in bio). I will keep everyone updated through my stories regarding re-releases, new links, and things of that nature.

Also, a very big THANK YOU to @afternightsmusic & @kathelotvs for tirelessly working with me on this. You’ve genuinely lifted so much stress off my shoulders through all of this, and I can’t appreciate you enough. Much love to you, always.

I’ve got a lot of crazy stuff in the works for when this is all squared away, and I can’t wait to share this new beginning with all of you!!! Love y’all, see you soon. 🤙🖤 by @_free.chris_

I have a lot of new friends on here as of recently. For those of you who don’t know, I also have a solo project. It consists of mostly rap, but also dabbles a bit into a range of other indie styles. @kathelotvs & I have a lot of really cool things planned with @afternightsmusic for this upcoming year, some of which we will be shedding light on very soon. I can’t wait for you all to see what’s in store!

This song is called “È Così Bello,” off my most recent release, “Aligning.” Published & distributed by @afternightsmusic
