We have so much fun in school! 😂😂 & Nae is crazy lol

Thankful to be able to further my education & meet some really dope women along the way. 💖

(It’s not always like this, obviously we were modeling on one another.)

Come see us in school for waxes & facials!!
My booking link is in the bio 🤗 by @_groovyngold

As we age, our skin produces less sebum (our skin’s natural oil), cell turnover begins to slow, and collagen production gradually declines. These natural changes can contribute to dryness, changes in texture, fine lines, and a loss of elasticity.

But here’s something to remember.. we don’t have to FIGHT aging, it’s something we can learn to CARE FOR 🍯

Here is a list of recommended ingredients to look for in your skincare products, and how they benefit your skin:

First thing is first, always wear SPF 30+, everyday (even walking to the car). SUN DAMAGE IS THE #1 CAUSE OF AGING & SKIN CANCER!!! 85% of what we think are signs of aging is actually damage from the sun 🫣
read that again.

Ceramides + Squalane help replenish, lock in moisture and mimic the natural oils in our skin.

Hyaluronic Acid + Glycerin attract water to the skin, helping maintain hydration and improve the appearance of dehydrated skin.

Antioxidants, such as Vitamin C, support collagen production, helps brighten uneven skin tone, and protects against environmental stressors. Certain fruits also have antioxidants that help protect us from the inside out.

And then we have Vitamin A (Retinoids).. they encourage cell turnover, which helps improve skin texture and reduce the appearance of fine lines.

Although, these ingredients can be beneficial, not every product is meant for every skin type. Understanding your skin’s needs is just as important as understanding what’s IN your products.

Facials are a great place to start. We can educate you on your skin, and at the same time, it also stimulate cell turnover, increases circulation, can encourage lymphatic drainage, and helps push the ingredients deeper in the skin.

The Golden Rule: Healthy skin isn’t about reversing the timeline.. it’s about giving your skin what it needs at every stage of life 🪩✨ by @_groovyngold

these brows are SO GOOD… 🥹

a little lamination, tint & minimal tweezing gave these beauties some extra love!

brow lami helps redirect your natural brow hairs, creating a fuller, fluffier, more uniform appearance. brow tint adds definition to your natural brows, and when adding them together - you literally have a fresh look 😍

ALSO, we didn’t have to completely reshape her brows to get these results! sometimes it’s about working with what you’ve already got, and NOT changing it.

What’s your favorite self care service? by @_groovyngold

These past few months have been full of learning, growth, and figuring out what direction I want to take Groovy & Gold.

500-ish hours (so far) in esthetics school has given me the opportunity to explore so many different services, gain hands-on experience, and really discover what I enjoy most.

With graduation around the corner, I’m so excited to start bringing those things into G&G! I’ve been working on some updates that feel more aligned with the experience I want to create for my client!

December availability for IN STUDIO opens up end of November! 🪩

But stay tuned for more updates! by @_groovyngold

a lil brow before, during + afterrrr 🪩

brow mapping is probably one of my favorite parts because we’re not just taking hair away, we’re figuring out what shape actually works with your natural brows & features.

for Kay, we kept the fullness, cleaned up the shape & gave those babies a liiitttle more definition.

obsessed with doing brows & excited to add them to my services at my studio soon 🤗🪩 by @_groovyngold

LETS TALK HIGH FREQUENCY!!!

High frequency is great for the back, and any acne prone area, including the face!

High frequency uses a mild electric current, delivered through a glass electrode. It produces a small amount of ozone, which removes bacteria from that area. High frequency is a great tool we can use after extractions to help promote faster healing, by stimulating the blood flow through the electric currents used 💁🏽‍♀️

It’s pretty dope learning the modalities we can use to create a response in the skin!

Let’s get you booked for a facial or back facial!! 🧖‍♀️🧖‍♂️ by @_groovyngold

love this life i’ve created <3 by @_groovyngold

POV: you coming in for a back facial with me 🧖🏽

Back facials go even deeper than relaxation, but give those hard to reach areas a lil extra lovin’ with cleansing, exfoliation, extractions (if needed) + a mask to help with breakouts, clogged pores & texture.

come see me & let me help you with your skincare needs!
