Other ways to use the Smith Machine…. Supported Skull Crushers 💪🏼 Don’t overlook the Smith machine for arm training! Using it for supported skull crushers gives you extra stability so you can focus on your triceps doing the work. ✨ Top tips: • Keep your elbows tucked throughout the movement. • Lower the dumbbells towards your forehead or just behind it for a full stretch. • Control the lowering phase (don’t let gravity take over) Great if you’re looking to build stronger, more defined triceps while taking stability out of the equation. Want to learn how to get more from the equipment in your gym? Drop me a message to book a free consultation, or try a £25 taster session to see if personal training is right for you 😊 #PersonalTrainer #GymTips #SmithMachine by @_hattiefitness_

Turn your chest press machine into a calf machine 👀🦵 If your chest press has a moving footplate then you can use it for calf raises too! ✨ Top tips: • Add a pad behind your back to increase your range of motion. • Push through the balls of your feet. • Pause and squeeze at the top. • Lower slowly into a full stretch (don’t rush the reps!) Small tweaks like this can make your workouts more effective without needing extra equipment. Need help getting more from your gym sessions? 💪 I offer 1-1 personal training with tailored programmes, technique coaching and support to help you reach your goals. Drop me a DM to get started! 📩 #gym #personaltrainer #calfraises #fitness by @_hattiefitness_
🍑 The squat machine isn’t just for squats… Try glute-focused step ups to build stronger glutes, improve single-leg strength, and challenge your stability. ✨ Top tips: • Drive through your front heel. • Lean slightly forwards to bias the glutes. • Avoid pushing off with your back leg. • Control the lowering phase, don’t rush it! Remember: good technique will always get you better results than simply lifting heavier. Want to improve your form, train with confidence, and get a programme tailored to your goals? Just drop me a DM to find out more about my personal training services! #GluteWorkout #StepUps #SquatMachine GluteGrowth by @_hattiefitness_

POV: you go on a cut and loose 8kg. Sooo this is a very revealing post but it shows that if you put your mind to it you can achieve anything. Back in January I started a cut. I wasn’t happy with my physique and I felt like my nutrition was all over the place. The goal wasn’t loose as much weight as possible, it was sustainable weight loss with a focus on fuelling my body properly. The first week was the hardest but after a while, the changes became routine. I didn’t cut anything out as I knew as soon as I do that it would become unsustainable. I still allowed myself to get a takeaway, eat out and have the occasional sweet treat throughout this process. The key wasn’t restriction but moderation. If weight loss feels impossible to you and you need some extra support to help you achieve your goals then fill out the personal training enquiry form in my bio or drop me a DM ! Let’s do this together 💪🏼 #weightloss #gym #energiefitnessbrighton #personaltrainer by @_hattiefitness_

Hi I’m Hattie! I’m a qualified level 2 + 3 Personal Trainer at @energiefitnessbrighton. I specialise in weight loss, muscle tone & development, Strength & Conditioning and body confidence. 🏋🏼‍♀️ Like many of you, I didn’t always love the gym. I know how intimidating the gym can be, and I’m here to make your journey comfortable and empowering. My promise to clients: * Well-planned, personalised programmes. * Regular check-ins to keep you on track. * Engaging 1-2-1 training sessions to empower and motivate you. I offer free consultations and half price taster sessions! ☺️ If you are interested in my coaching opportunities then drop me a DM to book a consultation or fill out the enquiry form in my bio! 📥 by @_hattiefitness_
‘Light weight’ Why women should lift weights: An Illustrated guide 🏋🏼‍♀️ Many of you may not know this but alongside being a personal trainer, I’m studying Illustration at the University of Brighton! As a final project, I wanted to create a booklet combining both my passions, fitness and art ✨ I’ve always been passionate about encouraging women in the gym to lift weights It’s so important for our health. I wanted to communicate this through illustration and that’s how this project started. As a personal trainer, I can recognise how daunting the gym can feel. The low lighting and dark colours can make the space feel intimidating. I know that walking into the weights section as a woman, when there’s mostly men, can take a lot of courage. This is why I wanted to approach the design in a more colourful, expressive way, in hopes to reach out and connect with those who want to start lifting weights but feel scared to do so. I hope that through this booklet I can reach out to even just one person to start their weightlifting journey 🙌🏼 #gym #gymgirl #womenweightlifting #illustration @oneractive by @_hattiefitness_
