POSTS STORIES REELS

@hildatan @_heyhilda has officially done it again. 👏🏼

MDRT for the fifth year, with this year’s qualification wrapped up in just nine months.

At this point, we can call it what it is. Not luck, and definitely not just one good year. It’s consistency.

Always dependable, always taking care of her clients properly, and quietly getting the work done year after year.

Very proud of you, Hilda. Well deserved! by @_heyhilda

I understand why people don’t trust insurance agents.

There will always be people who sell too hard, recommend too much, or make the conversation about themselves.

And yes, I’m proud of what I’ve achieved in this career. I’m ambitious, I want to grow, and I’m not ashamed to say that this is how I make a living.

But I also believe success shouldn’t come at the expense of the people who trust you.

Selling isn’t wrong. Earning from your work isn’t wrong.

What matters is how you sell, what you recommend, and whether your client is genuinely better off because of your advice.

I can’t change how people see the entire industry.

I can only choose the kind of adviser I want to be.
And hopefully, earn your trust one conversation at a time.#financialadvisors #sgfinancialadvisor by @_heyhilda

The younger me wanted a luxury life.

The older me wants a life I don’t need a holiday to escape from.

One where I have time for the people I love.
Options when life changes.
Peace of mind when things don’t go as planned.

I still enjoy the luxuries.

But these days, I treasure freedom so much more. by @_heyhilda

Rejection is part of the job.
But seeing someone I care about actually need their insurance? That’s different.

Over the years, some clients become friends. I know their stories, their families, their hopes for the future.

So when life takes an unexpected turn, it hurts me too.

It reminds me that what I do carries a responsibility.

I hope they never need their insurance.
But when they do, I hope I got it right💖

For the longest time, I felt like I had to say the “right” thing.

That I became a financial adviser simply because I wanted to help people.

The truth is, I also wanted to build a career I could be proud of.
A career that challenges me.
A career that gives me purpose.
A career that allows me to create the life I want.

And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with admitting that. What matters isn’t why I chose this profession.

It’s how I choose to show up every day.
With honesty.
With integrity.
And with the belief that every client deserves advice I’d be comfortable giving to my own family.

I’ve learned that ambition and empathy don’t have to compete.

When you genuinely care about the people you serve, everyone wins.

Maybe that’s what being a professional is really about💖 by @_heyhilda

The hardest part isn’t chasing a dream.

It’s admitting that the dream you’ve been chasing is no longer the life you want.

Walking away was heartbreaking. But staying would have cost me even more—my peace, my joy, and eventually, myself.

If you’re in a job that leaves you feeling anxious, drained, or like you’re becoming someone you don’t recognise, this is your reminder:

You don’t have to stay just because it was once your dream.

Choosing yourself isn’t quitting.

Sometimes, it’s the bravest decision you’ll ever make.

The life waiting on the other side of fear might be the one you’ve been searching for all along💃🏻

It’s easy to celebrate the photo.
Harder to see everything behind it.

The conversations that didn’t end with a sale.
The meetings that were cancelled.
The late nights spent preparing because someone trusted me with an important decision.
The moments I questioned whether I was good enough.
The constant learning to become a better adviser than I was yesterday.

But more than that, I see the people behind this achievement.

The client who chose to trust me.
The family who invited me into one of the most important conversations of their lives.
The referrals that came because someone believed I genuinely cared.
The mentors who challenged me to grow.
The difficult seasons that made me stronger, even when I wanted to give up.

This is my second MDRT with Great Eastern, but what I’m most proud of isn’t the title.

It’s earning the trust that came before it.

To every client who has walked this journey with me, thank you for letting me be a small part of yours.

With humility, and always striving to be worthy of the trust you’ve placed in me💖 by @_heyhilda

The biggest lesson I’ve learnt in sales?

People don’t need another salesperson.
They need someone who listens, understands, and genuinely cares.

That’s the kind of adviser I strive to be.
🩷 Hilda with a heart.

I always thought success meant having everything figured out early.

The perfect career.
The perfect plan.
The perfect timeline.

Life had other ideas.

Today, I’m grateful it did.

Because the biggest opportunities in my life came from decisions that scared me the most.

If there’s one thing I’d tell the younger Hilda, it’s this:

You don’t need certainty to move forward. You just need the courage to take the next step.

And maybe that’s something all of us need to hear once in a while.

Not every journey follows the plan.

I used to spend my days 35,000 feet in the air, making sure everyone else reached their destination safely.

Today, I help people navigate a different journey—one that protects their families, builds their wealth, and creates the freedom to live life on their own terms.

The uniforms changed.
The mission didn’t.

I’ve always believed that serving people is the most meaningful career anyone can have.

This page isn’t just about finance.
It’s about growth, resilience, and the choices that can completely change your life.

Whether you’re here to learn, be inspired, or simply follow along, I’m so glad you’re here.

Welcome to my journey. 🤍
