Spending time with my best friend after not seeing each other for 2 years has made me the happiest guy in the world! Amiga mía, te quiero para siempre y estoy deseando verte pronto para compartir y crear más recuerdos inolvidables juntos! by @_itsdeanfarah_
SURPRISE!✨ Life update: After working my ass off and saving up in Atlanta, I finally moved back to Barcelona last September to follow my dream of studying culinary arts! I enrolled at Hofmann, one of the best culinary schools in Spain. With a few months before it started, I got a job at an Irish pub (it seemed the easiest option while my Spanish was still a bit shaky 😆) I met some incredible people there. We worked VERY hard…shifts from 8pm to 5am! My sleep schedule was f*cked, but I had a job and made friends (swipe for pics from my birthday celebration 🥳) Five months flew by, and school began. I was INCREDIBLY nervous to work and study at once, especially since the course is 100% in Spanish. But once school started, I gained confidence, made more friends, and my Spanish improved quickly. We learned so many techniques and cooked unbelievable dishes. Then, PLOT-TWIST: I got let go from the pub. 🥴I was already so stressed and I needed to work to follow through with my plan. A month later, I landed a job as a server at an Italian restaurant... after doing the interview in Spanish! The funniest part? The first month on the new job, I managed to cut myself badly enough to get stitches….twice…and it wasn’t even from wielding knives at culinary school… it was from drying glassware at work😑 So now I’m juggling school and a new job. After 7 months in, my Spanish still isn’t perfect. I struggle with details and expressing emotions but through this whole process I’ve learned that everything takes time, patience, and continuous effort. I’m so grateful for this journey and my unbelievably patient new Spanish friends who listen to me, even when they only understand 50% of what I’m saying 😭 Life is a fucking wild journey man, but it sure is worth it. Love you all. 🫶🏼 by @_itsdeanfarah_

In 2023 I’ve been living in Barcelona, learning Spanish and setting my life up to begin culinary school and my future career. Along the way, I met some incredible friends with whom I created everlasting memories. Needless to say: 2023 was the shit! by @_itsdeanfarah_
Here is a photo dump of my weekend in Madrid! I rode on a bullet train (my first time) to get here from Barcelona. The view from my seat was fantastic! We explored the city and danced until 5am. 💃🏻🕺🏼 Needless to say it was a great time. I go back to Barcelona tomorrow morning to prepare for school on Monday! Wish me luck 🥰 by @_itsdeanfarah_
La Sagrada Familia! by @_itsdeanfarah_
Spain has captured my heart. The culture is vibrant, the sights are unbelievably beautiful, the food is incredibly fresh and delicious and the people are real and kind. I have never been somewhere so amazing in my life. Where you can walk around at 3am with friends and not feel the slightest bit scared. You can be in the most crowded areas and not have to worry about where the exit is incase someone were to start shooting. No need for a car, the public transportation is convenient, clean, and affordable. I want to learn so much more about this place; and I will. Until next time, Barcelona 🧡 by @_itsdeanfarah_
