A lot has changed in 3 years.

In June 2023, I reached the heaviest I had ever been at 293 lbs. I couldn’t believe it. Me? Pushing nearly 300 lbs. No way.

That same month, I got fitted for my first custom suit. It felt good to have a custom suit, but I didn’t like the man wearing it.

With our first child on the way, I knew it was time to get back in control of my health. I had truly become addicted to food and didn’t realize how much I was consuming. I kept trying to outwork a bad diet, and that wasn’t going to happen.

Thankfully, I never lost my confidence. I knew that if I had gotten myself into that position, I could get myself out of it. I kept telling myself, “You’ve done this before. Lock in and do it again.” That’s exactly what I’ve been doing.

How you mentally frame a challenge matters. If you see it as a burden, you’ll treat it like one. If you see it as a stepping stone, you’ll keep moving forward. Perspective drives performance.

Fast forward to today. I still have work to do before I reach my goals, but it feels good knowing I’m headed in the right direction.

I’m sharing this because it helps keep me accountable, and I hope it encourages someone else. Whether you’re a father, husband, former athlete, or just someone trying to become a better version of yourself, know that progress is possible. Stay the course. Stack days.
