This was my first job and I’ll keep pushing until it’s no longer for me 😎

I posted this awhile back on TikTok but never posted it here on IG so thought I’d share it here too. Hopefully this inspires someone to keep going 💯👏🏼👏🏼 I’ve never been on the Army’s time, I’ve been on God’s time 🕐

13 years in the Army hasn’t been perfect—but every challenge, every setback, every tough season reminded me to trust Him. When I didn’t have the strength, He carried me through. I’m still here, still standing, and still serving for a reason. 🙏🇺🇸

🎀💗 Rucking for a cause bigger than ourselves!

A huge THANK YOU @ssgdawkins for allowing us to participate virtually in the Breast Cancer Awareness 3K/5K Ruck March! 💕

Although we couldn’t be there in person, we were honored to support such a meaningful cause. Every step was taken in honor of the fighters, survivors, and angels who lost their battle. 🎗️

Different locations, same mission, one purpose! 💪🏽🇺🇸

The Army and I will ALWAYS have a love-hate relationship. 🪖❤️

Some days I love what I do, and other days I question how much more I have left to give. The sacrifices, long hours, missed family moments, and exhaustion are REAL.

But then I look at my life, my husband, my children, and everything we’ve been blessed with. I’m reminded that God has used this uniform to provide a life I once only prayed for. 🙏🏽

After 13 years, the Army has challenged me, humbled me, and tested my patience more times than I can count. 😂 But it’s also given me stability, two degrees, opportunities, and the ability to provide for my family.

I don’t love every day in the Army, but I’ll forever be grateful for what it’s done for us.

And if you’re struggling to make ends meet or looking for a way to build a better future for your family, maybe it’s time you considered the Army, too.

The Army isn’t perfect, but it just might change your life like it changed mine. ❤️🇺🇸

📍 DFW, come see me at Dallas Midtown Army Recruiting Station. Let’s change your story! 💕

Can you join the Army with a GED? Yes. A GED counts toward enlistment, and even a plan to get one counts. But the Army files a GED as a Tier 2 credential, a different path than a diploma. 15 semester hours of college credit can move you up to Tier 1. Save this if you are working on your GED. *Eligibility varies

DFW, let me REintroduce myself! 🇺🇸💕

I’m SSG Sheffield, your local Army recruiter at Dallas Midtown!

I’ve been serving in the Army for 13 years, and one thing I can tell you is that joining changed the direction of my life.

I’ve lived in different places, earned two degrees, built a family, and experienced opportunities I never imagined when I first joined.

Now I want to help other people explore what’s possible for them.

You don’t have to know everything about the Army. You don’t even have to know whether you want to join.

Just come with questions, and I’ll give you answers.

You’ll take career advice from somebody who’s unemployed or has never served in the military but won’t hear out someone who’s been in the Army for 14 CONSECUTIVE years?? 🥲🥲
