POSTS STORIES REELS
Six years of long hair. Six years of braids. Six years of a look that became part of my identity. But hair has a way of telling a story beyond style. Sometimes it reflects what your body has been carrying. And sometimes, even more quietly, it reflects what your mind and heart have been carrying too. Stress. Heavy seasons. Moments of depression. Exhaustion. The kind of pressure you don’t always talk about. All of it can show up physically - even in your hair through shedding, breakage, or seasons where growth seems to slow down. And when I looked at my hair, I realized I wasn’t just looking at six years of length. I was looking at six years of life. The good seasons. The hard ones. The moments I felt strong, and the moments I was simply trying to make it through. So cutting my hair became more than a haircut. It became release. And unlike Samson, I didn’t feel like I lost my strength when the hair came off…I felt empowered. Because sometimes turning the page means recognizing that you don’t have to keep carrying visible evidence of everything you survived. I can honor that version of me without staying attached to him. I can appreciate what grew in one season while making room for something new to grow in the next. Maybe that’s the real power of turning the page: You’re not erasing the story. You’re simply deciding that the story keeps going. New hair. New page. New season. And this time, I’m growing from a healthier place. ✂️📖 #reel #hairjourney #fyp by @_misternelson
✨ Before I Knew, He Knew 🤍 (Make Sure You Slide To See The Surprise) As I look through these photos, I’m reminded of how faithful God has been through every season of my life. The first photo takes me back to 2014—a night that changed me forever. I didn’t fully understand what God was doing at the time, but I knew I had encountered Jesus in a way that would leave a lasting mark on my life. Looking back now, I can see that He was beginning a work in me that would continue to unfold over the years. When I say there’s nothing that compares to seeing His face and His healing virtue flowing through your body - BELIEVE ME! I am a testimony of His greatness! Then comes one of the most meaningful moments of my journey - being baptized in 2026 by my own father and pastor. There was something deeply significant about standing in those waters with the man who raised me, prayed for me, encouraged me, and pointed me toward Christ. The same father who watched me grow through every season of life was now the one baptizing me as I publicly declared a fresh “yes” to God. And then there’s the final photo from 1994. A three year old boy preaching. No title. No platform. No understanding of ministry. Just a child. Yet somehow, God already knew. Before the encounter. Before the process. Before the baptism. Before the calling became clear. He knew. The little boy preaching. The young man who encountered God. The man baptized by his father and pastor. Three different moments. One faithful God. All leading to one thing: accepting the call to ministry. Not perfect, but surrendered. 🕊️🤍 @thebridgechurchsalinas by @_misternelson
It’s amazing how God can give you a simple word to reflect on and then proceed to unfold an entire revelation from it. Lately, He’s been showing me something beautiful about rebirth, transformation, and the process of becoming. The more I sat with it, the more layers He revealed. And one thing about me and God is when He speaks, I have my spiritual bucket out to receive and make great use of what He’s given me. Certainly was hesitant about putting this out, but I’m trusting God on this - a little flawed, yet fervent So, from my heart to yours, here are a few reflections that have been on my heart as of late. My hope and prayer is that they encourage you, challenge you, or simply give you something to think about. Grab that favorite cup of coffee, take a moment to reflect, and enjoy the read. 🕊️🤍 Ladies and Gentlemen, REBIRTH #reflections #selah #creativejournal #Jesus #rebirth by @_misternelson
“Behold, I am doing a NEW THING…” — Isaiah 43:19 I’m beginning to realize that when God truly starts doing a NEW THING in you, it rarely feels convenient — it feels like a death and a resurrection happening in the same body at the same time. It’s the painful awareness of outgrowing versions of yourself you once thought would live forever. The old you starts suffocating while the new you is learning how to breathe. And that tension is difficult because flesh grieves what spirit understands must die. God will allow you to become deeply uncomfortable with patterns, habits, desires, environments, and even mindsets that once felt normal — because anything that continuously disconnects you from His presence eventually becomes too expensive to keep. Some habits were never just habits. They were sedatives. Temporary comforts. False coverings for wounds only God could heal. But there comes a moment where Heaven interrupts the cycle. And suddenly, what once entertained you exhausts you. What once satisfied you leaves you empty. What once held you no longer fits you. That is the evidence of a divine transition. Not when everything around you changes — but when your spirit can no longer comfortably coexist with the old nature that’s dying within you. And maybe that’s the mystery of the NEW THING: God doesn’t merely add something new to your life… He dismantles the old version of you that would mishandle it. Because resurrection is impossible without death first introducing itself to the process. A seed must break open before it becomes what it was always meant to be. And I think that’s where I am right now. Watching old appetites die. Watching old cycles lose oxygen. Watching God slowly remove everything in me that no longer resembles where He’s taking me. So why trip off that old thing… when God is doing a NEW THING? There is glory hidden in becoming. ✨ by @_misternelson
2025 taught me that my greatest moments weren’t loud or visible—they were found right here, in the stillness of becoming. My best of last year was simply being present… listening, yielding, learning how to stay when God was shaping me more than showcasing me. As I step toward 2026, I do so with reverence and resolve—knowing this next season will require a deeper understanding of what God is asking of this vessel. Not more striving, but more surrender. Not louder movement, but purer obedience. I’m grateful for the pruning, thankful for the pauses, and expectant for the unfolding. If 2025 taught me how to abide, then 2026 will teach me how to pour—only what He’s placed within me. Here’s to what’s ahead… formed by His hands, led by His voice, and poured out for His glory. ✨ Here’s to the Narrow Way by @_misternelson
