There’s something about handmade that you can’t quite explain until you’ve been part of making it. Behind every Ownyoursun piece, there are hours of work, countless knots, tired hands, unexpected mistakes, and sometimes, the courage to start all over again. We live in a world that asks for everything to be faster, cheaper, and easier. And we’ve chosen a path that is none of those things. Not because it’s easy to stay true to slow fashion, but because we believe some things are worth taking time for. Every piece carries more than a design. It carries the patience of the woman who made it, the knowledge passed from one pair of hands to another, and the belief that craftsmanship deserves to be valued, not rushed. And perhaps this is something we don’t talk about enough: behind every handmade piece is a human being, not a production line. Someone’s time. Someone’s skill. Someone’s livelihood. Someone’s pride in what they create. Building a brand around these values hasn’t always been the easiest journey. But we never wanted to make more just for the sake of making more. We wanted to make something that means more. Because to us, luxury was never simply about what you wear. It’s about knowing whose hands made it, and choosing to care. With love🤍 by @_ownyoursun_

We spend so much time waiting for the right moment, the right body, the right version of ourselves. Then one ordinary afternoon quietly reminds us that memory was never waiting for any of those things. It was only waiting for us to be there. What ordinary moment are you glad you showed up for? #wearablestories by @_ownyoursun_
Your suitcase doesn’t need more clothes. It needs better stories. Our latest journal explores how a thoughtful resort wardrobe can take you from beach mornings to sunset dinners, with fewer pieces and more intention. Read the full story. #ownyoursun #resortwear by @_ownyoursun_

It usually starts with a tiny sentence: “I’ll wear it when…” When I lose a little weight. When I feel more confident. Without realizing it, not only do we keep postponing the dress, but we also start postponing “ourselves”. This one might leave you looking at yourself a little differently. “Noticing” is where everything begins. Wear that dress now. #wearablestories #bodyimage #wearitnow by @_ownyoursun_
Wherever you go. Whenever you want. Your style finishes the story. #ownyoursun #artisanalfashion #beachwear by @_ownyoursun_
Long before it becomes part of your story, you’ve become part of ours. *Our atelier these days. #ownyoursun #artisanalfashion by @_ownyoursun_
Some little talks quietly change the way you see yourself. This is one of the reasons Müge and I keep sitting down together. A designer and a nutritionist, noticing the very same thing from different corners of life: how easily women learn to postpone themselves. Not because they aren’t enough. Because they’re waiting to feel enough. So we’re collecting these little conversations. The kind we wish someone had left on our doorstep years ago. With a little humor, a little honesty, and a lot of heart. Maybe this one found you exactly when it needed to. “Wear that dress now.” #wearablestories #bodyimage #wearitnow by @_ownyoursun_
