Congratulations!🎉 by @_paus.in

I’m so happy to finally share this :)

My graduation film KYA HO AGAR, an animated music video for @taba.chake , produced by @_paus.in , has made it to the finalists at the @bisffblr Bengaluru International Short Film Festival 2026, India’s only Oscar qualifying festival!

It’s been almost a year and somehow I still haven’t properly posted about this film anywhere, LOL! Procrastinated a little too much. But I’m really happy that this is finally giving me a reason to share it 💌.

A HUGE hug and the biggest thank you to everyone who was a part of this film in any way:))

Really really happy for this little film and excited to see what happens next ♡

Background details from Outdoor Kid.

Outdoor Kid follows Piyali's story of learning to be an Outdoor Kid as an adult. It unfolds in Aalen, a small town in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, a place where Piyali has now created home for herself and her family.

I was incredibly lucky to travel to Germany for a research trip as part of this project. However, Aalen wasn't part of that trip. To be as faithful to Piyali's story as possible, I pieced together these backgrounds partly from visual research during my own travels, and partly by wandering the streets of Aalen on Google earth. The panning shot captures both the suburbs and the main market of Aalen.

We shall dive deeper into the process of shaping this film in the coming days. Have you seen it yet?

Last year, we got INCREDIBLY lucky to be roped into this gorgeous project by @goetheinstitut_kolkata and @germanyinkolkata

As part of Stepping Out, Settling in, we were invited to bring to life Piyali's story of how her life changed when she moved from a small island town in India to a small town in Germany. She discovers joy for the outdoors, and it also redefines the future she imagines for her child, and how she participates in shaping it.

Thank you @notquiteantara and @yourtalkingpeach for bringing us on board! This project has been A JOY to visualise and develop.

This film was also brought to life by @heyitssaach ‘s beautiful music.

Directed and animated by @deeptimegh
Additional animation by @oorjitbs and @saketghaisas

Moving from a lush island in India to a landlocked city in Germany, discover how Piyali’s relationship with the outdoors changes in unexpected ways.

Dive into the textures of her life, old and new, in this animation by Deepti Megh as a part of the project Stepping Out, Settling In.

Some more bits from the animated sections we created for Hello Kitty, a short film by @12by12films

We embraced 🔥the drama 🔥while animating these shots. We empathize with Binoy's pain of being SO ENVIOUS of Figaro's chill life.

Hire Paus to bring your dramatic stories to life so we may feed our inhouse studio freeloaders.

@12by12films gave us just the voice over they had in mind for the animation for Hello Kitty, and a LOT of freedom to visualize the world and the characters. (Honestly, a dream).

We had a lot of fun drawing cats (and looking at reference images of Tuxedo cats- the cat that is in the film) for the project.

The fun thing about bringing voice overs to life with animation is that you can really go anywhere with it. The voice could belong to anyone (or anything). We toyed with the idea of Binoy being a corporate fish living with Figaro the cat. Swamini did imagine Binoy being a person, and so we toyed around with who that person might be.

Swipe to see Broody Arty Boy Binoy, Plays in a band and graphic designs Binoy, Sad corporate Binoy and Binoy is actually a fish working hard to earn monies to support his overlord, Figaro the cat.

LOVE bringing fun characters to life, hire us and we can create worlds full of weird guys for you!

In 2024, we had the chance to collaborate with @12by12films for animated sections of their short film, Hello Kitty. As a studio with four resident cats (and a resident puppy) who sleep all day, we felt vindicated with what these guys had planned for Binoy and his cat, Figaro.

Here is clip number 1 from the film! You can head over to @12by12films 's page to check out the full film!

We LOVE LOVE LOVE animating cats and weird things and shiny things and exaggerated-ly upset humans, so hire us to bring your crazy ideas to life!

Some concept art and backgrounds for my graduation film!
It’s finally coming together with a lot of nights painting and animating and bent over my laptop and maybe too many cups of coffee
I haven’t put my heart and love and time and effort into anything more, and I’m so excited to share the behind the scenes of it with all of you soon 🌸⭐️🌀🩸

Produced by @_paus.in and guided by @deeptimegh who is the reason this film has even gotten out of the storyboard stages
And @heyitssaach for the beautiful beautiful music and sound for the film!
And so many extremely talented friends who have helped along the way 🫵🏻‼️ by @_paus.in

2025 was a BIG year for us at Pāus. We were able to bring on 3 extremely talented animation filmmakers for their graduation projects, something we never thought we could do in our second year as a studio.

Two of them convocated yesterday and we couldn’t be prouder. (The third film, by @priyanka_art02 is in its final stages of production and is also such an exciting project!)

Thank you @shivani_jey and @arundhati._.i for trusting Pāus to be the home of your graduation films! It’s been so inspiring to watch you craft them with so much care. World, watch out for these talented talented filmmakers, who bring so much joy and colour to both the work they create and the spaces they inhabit.

Their projects, two STUNNING music videos, will be released later this year and we can’t wait for them to meet the world.

Having Shivani and Arundhati around also helped us clarify the idea of what we hope Pāus as a workspace evolves into.

Grateful for all the meals, laughs, board game evenings, balcao beverages and studio outings we were able to share! Cannot wait to see what both of you do next 💖🌧️ by @_paus.in

Had the most amazing opportunity to attend @greenstoriespitch as an observer. This week has left me endlessly inspired, and with a heart full of love and hope.

It is so heartening to see a space like this created, for people who care deeply about the environment and believe in the power of storytelling to create change to come together and support each other. We didn't have a film we were here with this year, but this generous space allowed me to observe the mentors and filmmakers, and I've left BRIMMING with ideas.

There's too many people to tag, too many filmmakers I met and was endlessly inspired by, but I'm so grateful that something like @greenstoriespitch exists and I can't wait to be back, year after year. by @_paus.in

We had the opportunity to create an editorial illustration to accompany Justin French’s article, “Wild Neighbours: Living among nature” in @currentconservation Issue 19.1

The article spoke about coexisting with wildlife in urban environments. We took care to place the illustration in the context of the article: California.

Thank you for bringing us on board, and for invaluable art direction @labonie.roy ! This was such a pleasure to work on.

We identify as the wild strawberry eating raccoons. Tag yourself!
