🎶Music is my religion 🎶 One of my favorite ways to enjoy the gift of music is with the sacred art of dance…. especially with my beautiful dance partner @makenziekinnahan 💕Being one with the music, the moment, and with each other is just one of the highest of highs you can feel. This picture encapsulates that for me. I am Grateful to be able to feel these feelings and share these moments. Thank you @minkinphotography for capturing so many beautiful moments and sharing them with the world 🌟 by @_piercechild2

Last week I had the pleasure of catching @samgrismanproject at the @vinegrass music festival up in Cape Cod. It’s always such a treat to catch these guys whenever I get the opportunity. Every time I see them I get turned onto new music and artists. They are incredibly talented group of musicians and all around great folk. Last time I saw them they opened/sound checked with a favorite tune of mine “The Girl I Left Behind Me” A song from the 18th century that grew abd developed over the years in Ireland, England, and America. There are several notable renditions from artists like John Hartford and Pete Seeger, but the best rendition Ive heard was from @samgrismanproject It’s a super great tune and they performed it so well. Sam sang it beautifully and Victor was doing the coolest melodic lines. I love watching him play the melody incorporating the open strings! His insta is @dirtbanjo check him out he can really pick the banjo like none other. This little rendition is inspired by @samgrismanproject I hope you enjoy. If you’ve never seen them I suggest checking them out. They are the best thing out there in my opinion. I look forward to seeing them any chance I get by @_piercechild2

Here is my rendition of the Saturday Night Shuffle by Merle Travis. Hope y’all are having fun out there by @_piercechild2

My version of the “Cannonball Rag” by the Kentucky thumb picker Kennedy Jones. Inspired by Merle Travis by @_piercechild2

A new song I wrote called “She Like Lightning” Inspired by the great Willie Brown You know my gal she like lightning when she
Lighting when she
Like lightning when she
Lightning when she smiling down at me

You know she’s just as sweet as she could be
Sweet as could be
Sweet as could be
She’s the flower and I’m her honey bee

She’s just like a needle in the straw
In the straw
In the straw
She’s the prettiest gal you ever saw

She twirls and twirls and circles round and round
Round and round
Round and round
When she dance her feet don’t touch the ground

She’s just like a back country road
Like a country road
Like a country road
With many a curve so I’m gonna take it slow

You know my gal she like lightning when she
Lighting when she
Like lightning when she xxxxxxx
Lightning when she smiling down at me
