Dear 10yo Piyu,
I know you wanna see a lot of places, eat a lot of food, meet a lot of people and become a lot of things and oh my YOU WILL. In that process of finding new things, you will also lose some places, people and moments. You will sometimes sit in a garden and cry over how your bestfriend fought with you, or laugh with strangers on a train; sometimes you'll do things you never wanted to, and sometimes you will find your heart pounding in your ribs because you're doing exactly what you always wanted. Believe me, I know you wanna do a lot of things and be a lot of things because - same.
You will also have moments when you'll think it's the end of the world and it'll never get easier. Spoiler alert: it gets easier. Every day it gets a little easier. But you gotta do it everyday - that's the hard part. But yeah, it does get easier.
I still have the same dreams you watch, ofcourse we've not reached there yet, but sometime, someday on a pleasant morning with chai on a porch, I'll say we did it.
Happy Birthday you little demon.

I'm a museum of everything and everyone I ever loved. I entered 2025 thinking I'm gonna make this an experimental year, I think it's safe to say that sure it experimented on new levels of patience and somewhere, lil magic 💫
2026, be kind.

The very presence of nostalgia means a life well lived. It's been over 8 months since we brought TEDxJHC 2025 to life, and it's only now that I've started to miss it more than ever. Despite sponsi being the most exhausting dept, every now and then, my team made me believe how little things can make yo life big. Every single of my OC team, Tanvi, Aayushi, Shikhar, Naisha, Nidhi, Muskan, Gurnoor, Pramey, Tanisha, Hetakshi, Ramita, was a great help at some or the other time. Be it constant, "didi aapko kuch khane keliye chahiye kya?", to never ending calls, it was truly them who made it special. My co heads, Anushka and Jai, no words can describe what it was to have you next to me! @and.eye.ooop miss those chaotic days man! I absolutely 100% miss spending time with @parshva.shah__ and @moksha_1705 I don't even believe there was a time when I didn't know you guys, what a shame.
I will shamelessly say it again and again, that I DO NOT think this event would've been possible had there not been @aadit_aggarwal . If you see him around and think he looks like an arrogant man, let me break it to you, this is the SWEETEST MOST KINDEST goofball you'd ever meet. Every single time I've been in trouble, this guy has gone out of his way to help, because that's the kind of gem he is💪
Thanks to @dipayan1806 and @whyhatim for carrying out the whole thing and believing in us as a team! @Param has absolutely been that pillar who'd help us with never ending contacts and leads🙌 Special thanks to @areyykrishna , for his constant, "Tu karr legi yaar", "Hojayega dw", this is what has gotten me through TEDx :)
Last but not the least, the entire OC... what a dream team❤️ Miss you, dearly. by @_priyeahnka

Meet The Film Room Team! 🎞️

PRI YANKA: She walks in like she owns the frame - because she does🎬 From catching the 6:13 AM local from Navi Mumbai to closing deals and curtains by midnight, she’s the girl who can screen a film, sell a fest, script a play, and still find time for chai pe charcha ☕ A multitasker with the soul of a filmmaker and the hustle of a Mumbaikar!
You’ll find her writing in mirror language, hyping soya chilly like it’s absolute cinema, and lowkey slipping into Marathi when you least expect it. She’s not just part of the department — she is the department.
🌟 Born to direct dreams. Raised on chai and chaos. Ambitious, Endlessly Curious, Forever Film Girl🍿

If you think you don’t know Deeyp Chheda, you’re wrong. Everyone knows Deeyp. He is an ultra evolved version of a social butterfly who somehow finds his way in every eventful activity on campus. Despite being involved in 80 different side quests he still manages to maintain his image as a certified nerd and is sure to remind you of it. A fan of all things cinema, you will often find him holding multiple cameras at random corners of campus. Always trailing behind taking pictures of every other object (yet still struggling to take people pictures), he has an eye for spotting beauty in the mundane. By this description if you think he’s a quiet and mysterious guy you would be wrong once again, because getting into a bickering match with him would leave you wanting to eat your own hair. All in all, Deeyp Chheda is like an onion (even though he’s technically Jain). So if you think you know Deeyp, you don’t, because he’ll somehow always surprise you. by @_priyeahnka

Meet our Sponsorship, Finance and Collaboration department:

PRI YANKA: Ambitious to the core and driven by sincerity, she brings unmatched dedication to every task she takes on. Whether it’s closing big deals or managing a team, she does it with grit. From dramatic monologues on stage to deep conversations about a Ghazal, she’s the one of a kind blend of passion and intellect. We’re lucky to have her leading the Sponsorship squad – because with her in charge, everything’s possible.

Shikhaar Jhanwar: The first word that comes to mind when you think of Shikhar is Charming. Within minutes of conversation, you will be captivated by his humility and humour. Ask him to make a dozen calls, or go out of his way to get you food, and Shikhar does it with a smile on his face. Sure, he’s a realist when it comes to life and business, but that doesn’t stop him from offering a shoulder to lean on when times get tough. He can be a tough critic but immensely supportive, and this rare mix is why people gravitate towards him. When Shikhar’s around, you can expect conversations to get louder and smiles wider.

Anoushka Shah: The effortlessly cool breeze in any room, Anoushka is the definition of laidback energy. With a sense of humour that sneaks up on you and a personality that grows on you fast, she brings ease and honesty wherever she goes. Blunt in the best way and fueled almost entirely by coffee, she moves through life with calm confidence, chaos, and charm. She’s unbothered, unapologetic, and always real.

Nidhi Tapadia: one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet, calm, caring, and smiling no matter what! She truly brings the team together and keeps the vibe alive offering encouragement during tough moments, or simply making sure no one ever feels left out, she does it all with grace and heart. A true gem carrying a smile that brightens every room. by @_priyeahnka

2024 season, comes to an end🎬 by @_priyeahnka

lil confession: I cannot accept the fact that I exist.
I often find myself asking, "so this is reality?" insane, I know.

During the span of this one year in JHC, I know for a fact that I've been alive for real. Alive when I saw hundreds of people clap for our months of rehearsals,
when I was laughing at the top of my voice in canteen,
when we played games in class to waste time,
when we rehearsed for endless hours,
when I would walk upto strangers and ask, "who are you?",
when we sang together in foyer,
when we watched Pygmalion on my laptop,
when we did improv sessions and scared the shit out others,
when the exam went good even if I didn't study,
when I see Mumbai from upper deck of bus,
when I was in a room full of people talking about films/novels,
when I left home in the dark of 530am,
when I at times went to Marine Drive alone,
when I stood barefoot on stage with my arms open wide,
when canteen actually made some good shit, when I was laughing with library wale uncle,
when we executed pranks for Kalki,
when I went to other colleges for fests,
when I.........did anything that I actually never thought I would.

I know a lot of people like to plan and organise and believe me I'm one of them too, but sometimes you end up with things and people you never thought you would. I never even wanted Jai Hind to be fair, but here I am... couldn't be happier for how the dominoes cascaded. Of all the things that went wrong, im so so glad thwre were these tiny thinhs that went right. Every single person I've found here is special to me and if you think I'm stupid for that I'll take that only as a compliment!
Second Year starts tomorrow, once again, walking into places I never imagined, some firsts, some lasts, some tears, some joys. I dont know if it'll matter afterwards, but well it does now🤷‍♀️

P.S. there are absolutely no pics of some of my most favourite memories... maybe that's why they're my favourite.

look at me, not at the caption✌🏻 by @_priyeahnka

This is one of the most challenging things I've ever been involved, it may not appear like that on the surface, but filmmaking is HARD... especially when you set out to do all by yourself. But it's also what makes it so special; these tiny shots as pieces of a puzzle, coming together to form a picture that moves.
Probably one of my favourite moments was making storyboards and gradually ticking off the scenes as I shot them.

On my way back to home, as the setting Sun glared on my face...
I teared up. I may not be able to put in words what this means to me, so just know that 14yo Priyanka is proud and happy.
