If you’re rebuilding… your body, your confidence, your health, your career, or your life… you’re welcome here. I’m glad you found this little corner of the internet. by @_richmotion
Turns out healing and believing you’re healed are two very different things. Working on both. Still got a long way to go. #athlete #aclrecovery #injuryrehab #mindset #rebuildera by @_richmotion
12 days post-op and back on my feet—assisted, but moving. This isn’t the year I planned… it’s the one that’s building me. We’ve only just begun. #athlete #injuryrehab #aclrecovery #mindset by @_richmotion
WELCOME TO THE HIVE. 🐝 What started as my own journey through ACL recovery has evolved into something much bigger. Over the last several months, we’ve been working behind the scenes to bring Heal Hive to life — a platform built around making knee recovery a little more organized, accessible, and connected. And today, we’re officially launching our BETA! This is just the beginning. We’re looking for people going through knee recovery who want to test the app, share their experiences, and help us build something truly valuable for this community. 📲 Ready to join the Hive? 🐝 Download Heal Hive using the LINK IN MY BIO! 🍎 Currently available exclusively on iOS (Apple App Store). Android is not yet supported. 💬 Comment “HIVE” if you’re joining our beta testing community! Your experiences, feedback, and ideas will help shape what Heal Hive becomes. Built from experience. Shaped by the community. You do the reps alone. You rebuild with a team. Let’s get to work. 🤝🐝 #athlete #aclrecovery #injuryrehab #rebuildera #healhiveapp by @_richmotion
Running is on hold. Building the engine isn’t. 🫡 FRI-YAY WOD: ⛷️ 10 MIN SkiErg 🚴 10 MIN Assault Bike 🚣 10 MIN RowErg 30 minutes. Nonstop. Controlled aerobic effort. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned throughout ACL recovery is that you don’t have to stop training just because you have to change how you train. Running and jumping might not be on the menu right now, but that doesn’t mean cardiovascular fitness has to take a back seat. Find what your body can tolerate. Adapt the work. Keep building. The engine doesn’t build itself. #athlete #aclrecovery #injuryrehab #rebuildera by @_richmotion

MRI RESULTS ARE IN. 🦿 6+ months post-op from ACL reconstruction with a patellar tendon autograft + LET, and it looks like we’ve got ourselves some patellar tendinopathy. Truthfully, I’ve been expecting this. When you harvest a portion of your patellar tendon to reconstruct your ACL, there are challenges that can come with it. This was one I knew I might have to navigate. The GOOD news? No cyclops lesion identified. 🙏🏼 Given the circumstances, that’s about as good of an outcome as I could’ve hoped for. A couple things worth noting: • My surgeon hasn’t formally reviewed the MRI with me yet. That appointment is still a couple weeks away. • I’ve coordinated the findings with my PTs, and we’re adjusting the programming accordingly. • Hopefully no surgical cleanout required, but we won’t know for certain until that appointment. In the meantime, we’re dialing back the running and plyometrics, managing symptoms, and putting in the work to build stronger, more resilient tendons. BOTH legs. Is it frustrating? Of course. But I knew what I signed up for with this graft choice. And if the road back requires a little more patience, a little more intention, and a whole lot more tendon work, so be it. The goal was never just to get back to where I was. It was to come back BETTER. Just another chapter in the process. It’s me vs. me, & I’m gonna win. 🤝 Shoutout @brittlerd & @morganhampel for rehabbing with your boy #athlete #aclrecovery #injuryrehab #rebuildera by @_richmotion
Got the itch again. Long dirt roads, no cell service, sleeping in the truck, and landscapes that make you feel real small. Already plotting my first big post-ACL adventure. Where should I go?🏔️🏜️🏝️ ps: can you spot Waldo in pic 11? 👀 by @_richmotion
ACL recovery is going great. Thanks for asking. 🤝 It’s me vs. me, and apparently we’re both losing. #athlete #aclrecovery #injuryrehab #rebuildera by @_richmotion
The comeback doesn’t always look like progress. Some weeks we’re running, jumping, and pushing new limits. Other weeks we’re back to the basics. But the mission doesn’t change just because the approach does. Control what you can. Work with what you’ve got. Keep showing up. The comeback only stops if you do. 🤝 #aclrecovery #rebuildera #mindset #athlete by @_richmotion
You can do everything right and still get humbled by life. I’ve always thrived on discipline, structure, and routine. I love having a plan. I love putting in the work. And I love believing that effort will ultimately dictate the outcome. But life doesn’t always work that way. 6.5 months into ACL recovery, I’ve made incredible progress. And yet, here I am, heading into another MRI, searching for answers and learning to sit with uncertainty. It’s frustrating. It’s humbling. And I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t getting under my skin. But maybe that’s exactly the lesson I need right now. You can’t always outwork adversity. Sometimes you have to adapt, surrender a little control, and trust that there’s still purpose in the process. I’m grateful for how far I’ve come. I’m grateful for what this injury continues to teach me. And I’m learning that gratitude and frustration can coexist. We don’t always get to choose our circumstances. But we do get to choose how we respond to them. The rebuild continues. One way or another. 🫡 #athlete #aclrecovery #injuryrehab #rebuildera #mindset by @_richmotion
