Elizabeth bucket hat for sale. Handmade by me in Montreal. 100% cotton. Adult one sized. Handwash cold water and hang to dry. Currently I have two in stock. dm to purchase. Thanks 👍👍 by @_sasa_cosplay

Work in progress sewing and paint weathering for Gaara's belt and scarf thingie. Inside interlining is a strong canvas fabric to make it thick and strong and to bear the weight of the gourd. I did many paint tests on scrap fabrics before doing the actual belt piece. It was necessary because the base is already brown and I needed to check how and what shades of brown and black to use to make it look good. Paint weathering looks better in layers, I did about 4-5 layers and allow fully dry overnight each time. You can get more depth and visual interest this way. His scarf thingie looks like it's wrapped around him and just hanging, but I dislike too many moving parts so I made it in 3 separate pieces. 2 parts are sewed to the belt and are gathered so they are fixed in that spot. Then I made a circle loop to wear overtop to give his final look.

Thanks for reading and being interested in crafting, sewing and my reasons/decisions of why I did what I did. by @_sasa_cosplay

Sabaku no Gaara
I made him in 4 weeks for a photoshoot deadline!! He has been on my to cos list for a long time, and now he's here 😁 This is my favourite outfit of him. The gourd is my very first foam prop and my first time using contact cement.
Costume all handmade 👍
