Behind AGAMA. This collection is more than fabric, sketches, and stitches—it is a reflection of resilience. There were countless late nights, moments of exhaustion, and more tears than I ever expected. Creating AGAMA while living with migraine with aura wasn’t easy. There were days when the intense headaches, blurred vision, light sensitivity, dizziness, and nausea made it difficult to even look at a screen, sketch, or sew. There were also days when I couldn’t even make it to the university. There were also days spent in the hospital, unable to do anything for days at a time. But instead of giving up, I found other ways to keep moving forward. Whether it meant working from home, catching up later, or finding extra time to stay on track, I refused to let myself fall behind. Every challenge became part of the process. Every setback pushed me to keep going. Every stitch, every embellishment, and every detail carries the determination to finish what I started. AGAMA is not only inspired by the beauty of Africa’s landscapes and wildlife—it is also a reminder that perseverance can transform even the hardest moments into something beautiful. This collection will always represent one of the greatest challenges I’ve overcome, and I’m incredibly proud of the journey behind it. 🖤 by @_soleawear
AGAMA DRESS🏮✨ #fashionworld #fashionstudent by @_soleawear
Behind the collection: a carefully curated selection of colors, textures, fabrics, and natural elements shaped every detail of AGAMA. Pearl embellishments, flowing chiffon, Protea-inspired florals, and rich textures come together to celebrate the beauty of African nature. 🦎🏮 by @_soleawear
AGAMA JUMPER🦎🏮 #fashiondesigner #fashionstudent by @_soleawear
The lightweight chiffon poncho was selected for its resemblance to the texture and flowing movement of desert sand. Green beaded fringe reflects the surrounding African flora, while the rich brown tones of weathered wood inspired the color of the jumper. And finally, the vibrant blue of the agama lizard was incorporated through blue stone embellishments, completing the collection’s story with its signature accent of color. 🦎🌀 by @_soleawear
This is where AGAMA begins. From the first steps of construction to the final silhouette, every detail was created with intention. The journey is shown in black & white, leaving the colors for their own moment. 🏮 by @_soleawear
