![gong gong’s camera pt 2. [repaired focus edition]. | gadigal/sydney, NSW.
.
many thanks to @viva_la_film for repairing this camera and giving it a new lease of life. my grandpa used to take photos of mum and her siblings in hong kong with this camera (an agfa isolette), and for years we all thought that the camera had been lost forever in the subsequent country move from hong kong to canada and the nature of family heirlooms being handed down. thankfully my uncle found the camera in storage last year and sent it to me. at the time, the focus ring was frozen mould was growing inside the lens. @viva_la_film took on the challenge to repair the camera to working condition. the camera means a lot to my mum, and it’s such a privilege to be able to use it to take photos of her so many decades later. i love the craft, technique and planning involved in taking medium format photos. makes you appreciate the photography process so much more.
