Final stretch… by @_walker_brandon
I always knew this day would come but I never thought it would be now, thank you basketball for giving me courage teaching leadership and most of all giving me brothers for life. I wanna thank all the coaches who made me who I am today most importantly Coach Camreon coach Ince, and Coach Garza. Yall had the biggest impact on me and taught me everything that I know. for 9 years of my life I’ve been playing this sport and through all the practice all the sweat all the tears and injuries and adversity I’ve faced I wouldn’t trade a single second of it for anything else. Basketball has been a blessing in my life and I wanna thank god for giving me the skills and opportunity to do everything I have accomplished. Although this season ended short of what we expected I’m so proud of every single one of my teammates for everything they’ve done and we wouldn’t have been here without everyone doing their part. Thank you for all the parents and fans that showed out every night to support us it’s been an honor playing for La vernia and I’m grateful that god paved my path to come here. Ecclesiastes 7:8 states “The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride.” I’m glad I can say the end of this journey is better than the start. To my underclassman take advantage of every moment and don’t take anything for granted. I’m thankful for this chapter of my life and glad I can say I gave it all I had.
