Our Bay Rum Leaves make the best tea🫖🌿! It tastes like cinnamon, clove, allspice and nutmeg all mixed together! It just takes a few leaves (fresh or dry) boiled for 15-20 minutes and steeped for an additional 5-10 minutes. The longer you steep, the darker the color. I like to add a cinnamon stick and some vanilla. Benefits of the tea include relief from inflammation, colds/fevers, aches/pains, congestion, and even aids in digestion while providing a healthy dose of vitamins! Leaves available on our Etsy shop in quantities of 25, 50, & 100.

West Indian Bay Rum Leaves

🌿The Bay Rum tree is known for the essential oil present in the leaves and stems. This oil has a clove- like fragrance. Bay Rum first became popularized as a 'rub' for sore muscles, strains, and sprains. The essential oil was also reported to contain diterpene, having anti-bacterial properties. A popular aftershave in the early 20th century was made from the leaves of the tree and rum, giving spicy notes from the bay and smoky, woody tones from the aged rum.

🌿Like its relative Allspice, Bay Rum Tree leaves can be used to infuse teas and syrups with its scent and flavor. The leaves are said to have medicinal properties that help treat numerous ailments. Benefits include aid in digestion, kidney issues, improvement of heart health/function, lowering blood sugar and cholesterol levels, stress relief, pain relief (anti-inflammatory).

🌿Use in rice dishes, soups and stews to take aroma and flavor to the next level with just one leaf! Its taste is more potent than that of the average bay leaf. The flavor has hints of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and allspice!

Sweet Onions🧅
You can enjoy them at any stage of growth! In the early stages for chives, middle stages for green onions, and of course the final stage as a full onion. They also keep good for a long time once harvested!

Bok Choy🌱

One of my favorite veggies to steam, sauté, or add to a stir fry✨ The flavor is so unique and it’s not always found in the grocery store! Bok choy grows very quickly and is super low maintenance, it really just needs some water!
