Grateful for God! Without Him, none of this would be possible. Took a side quest to Nashville and got to fight gi & no gi. Also fought in the open weight division for gi!! This day was so long !! Fighting 3 divisions all in the day really showed me what I was made of. I got triple silver … I’ve had a tendency to lose in the finals in my blue belt journey. It would be unfortunate if I didn’t count my blessings. Why I say that is because… Last week, IBJJF Sacramento, we got 🥈 🥉 Today, IBJJF Nashville, we got 🥈🥈🥈 That’s improvement! I know my day will come, eventually. But that’s for God to decide. I will continue to work hard to ensure the best results, but I have nothing to fuss about! I could complain, say sad stories, & give excuses… but the reality is that if you step on the mats to compete.. you either have it or you don’t. Thank you to everyone that supports me Thank you @phenombjj & @christian_rodriguezbello for making this happen. Saturday, October 17th, 2026 Thank you, Jesus, for the opportunities to pursue this journey. A saying my professor has always said is “it’s hard to run away from yourself when you step on the mats.” Day after day, this idea proves itself to me. Jiu Jitsu shows you who you are. More than that, competition shows you if you have “it” that day. It’s not easy to keep coming back to the mats every day. You think you’re starting to understand and then your professor chokes you 6x in a round… and it’s even harder to keep competing, knowing that the competition is really high! This tournament my single leg x on point! But then Graham Nascimento passed it like nothing 😂 I can’t pinpoint why I come back to the mats every day. This art is hard. All I know is that Jiu Jitsu teaches me things about myself that I would never have learned before I became involved with it. I’m grateful to God that this is the road that I’m on. I’m pleased with the results from Sacramento open. Though they could have been better, there’s nothing better than seeing the problems with your performance and then knowing how to fix them. Seguimos 🫡 Nashville open next week ! A big thank you to all who support me! @christian_rodriguezbello | @phenombjj | @lilawkward_5 @kschrisanda | @nakoafightclub | @guimonteirobjj |@taonbrand | @undergroundgrapplers | @kingzkimonos 😉 #supportundergroundgrappling #jiujitsu #oss by @a.qnta
Grateful to God for every day that I am able to pursue this journey. Yesterday I had the opportunity to travel to San Jose for another @nagafighter tournament. I noticed that I sometimes can fight on autopilot - so my goal this tournament was to work on being present and in the moment! I had 3 subs for the day. Left with 🥇 - happy with my performance… however, I know there’s a lot to work on. 😺 Incredibly grateful for those who support me in any shape or form… @lilawkward_5 @bas_actual @nakoafightclub @taonbrand @phenombjj @kingzkimonos 😉 @undergroundgrapplers 😻 #supportundergroundgrappling #bjj #jiujitsu #oss #grappling by @a.qnta
Another weekend of doing what I love! Thank you, Jesus. My first match I was able to get the win. However, I was not proud of the performance as it wasn’t the game that I’ve been working on in training… I was nervous and didn’t believe in my half guard game. My next match, I found myself in half guard- exactly where I was comfortable. I was able to put on a better performance. In my semifinals match, I decided to BELIEVE IN MY JIU JITSU and go directly to my game. Ended the match with a win & the sub 😺 *Moral of the story: Believe in your Jiu Jitsu* October is going to be a very busy month… 4 comps lined up. All I have to say is let God’s will be done, not my own. Let’s go!!! Thank you to everyone that supports me! @phenombjj @taonbrand @nakoafightclub @undergroundgrapplers @kingzkimonos 😉 #supportundergroundgrappling #grappling #gratidão #jiujitsu #bjj by @a.qnta
Thank you, Jesus. Another day of doing what I love. I signed up for this competition while I was sulking after my loss at Jiu Jitsu Con last week. Slightly redeemed myself😀 Can’t dwell on the past though! We take things day by day here. So, in today’s summary - I had 5 matches & 3 subs. I won the Open Weight Division !! I had fun & was able to showcase technical Jiu Jitsu. Thank you to everyone who supports me! @phenombjj | @taonbrand | @nakoafightclub | @undergroundgrapplers #supportundergroundgrappling #jiujitsu #bjj #oss #gratidão by @a.qnta
First and foremost, thank you, God, for another day of doing what I love! All glory is to God. @nakoafightclub - keeping my fingers protected for battle @taonbrand - thank you, @danielperezbrainbjj for being in my corner @gameness_sports - Air Pro 3.0 Gi is 🔥!! @phenombjj @undergroundgrapplers @christian_rodriguezbello #supportundergroundgrappling #bjj #jiujitsu #gratidão #grappling by @a.qnta
Another day of doing what I love. Thank you, Jesus. I went 1-1 at IBJJF San Diego Open. Lately, it’s been more of a mental battle for me than it is a physical battle. It’s always a struggle to get over the nerves and the unnecessary pressure that I put onto myself. That’s something I have to bring to Jesus to work on. Thank you to everyone who supports me. @phenombjj @taonbrand @bas_actual @nakoafightclub @undergroundgrapplers @kingzkimonos 😉 #supportundergroundgrappling #bjj #jiujitsu #treino #grappling by @a.qnta
First and foremost, thank you, God, for another day of doing what I love! July 25 - @nabjjf LA Open 😃 2 matches & 2 subs! I ended both matches pretty fast but either way, I’m happy with the mat time accumulated, as well as the lessons I took home from these matches. This culminated my July competition schedule. July 11 - IBJJF LA Open - ❌❌❌ July 18 - IBJJF Honolulu Open - 🥉 July 25 - NABJJF LA Open - 🥇 Thank you to my training partners & to everyone that supports me. @rafaelfeitosabjj @christian_rodriguezbello @gustavolpess @phenombjj @guimonteirobjj @bas_actual @taonbrand @kschrisanda @nakoafightclub #supportundergroundgrappling #gratidão #jiujitsu #bjj #grappling by @a.qnta
From the beaches of Hawaiʻi to the mats of IBJJF Honolulu. 🌺 Watching Anthony open his Nakoa package in Hawaiʻi and then step onto the competition mats wearing our ʻOhana Ritual Tape made this one incredibly special. A few weeks ago, Anthony reached out to us because he wanted to collaborate. What we didn't realize at the time was that we'd be meeting someone who genuinely embodies everything NAKOA stands for—humility, hard work, gratitude, and the willingness to embrace every challenge with purpose. That's what makes this community so meaningful. People often tell us that Nakoa helps them become the best version of themselves. The truth is... it's the other way around. Our ʻOhana is what makes Nakoa the best it can be. Every athlete, every coach, every supporter, every family member who believes in this mission adds something unique to our story. Together, we're building something that's bigger than athletic tape. We're building a community where no one fights alone. Anthony, thank you for trusting us and allowing us to be a small part of your journey. We're honored to have you in the ʻOhana, and we'll be cheering you on every step of the way. Train with meaning. Fight with soul. We are NĀKOA FIGHT CLUB. 🔗 Link in Bio #nakoafightclub #ohana #jiujitsu #bjjlife #ibjjf by @a.qnta
