POSTS STORIES REELS
I used to adore reading romantasy. But after a while, it all started to bleed together. And I fell out of love with the genre. That got me thinking… What if I took all the stories I’d read, all their tropes, and did the opposite in as many ways as possible? So I wrote the book. It’s called Project Chaos (for now) and it’s nearing its fourth draft as I tackle developmental edits. Stick around for updates, glimpses of the world, and behind the scenes as I finish the manuscript and figure out how to get this thing published. [stares balefully at query letter] ❤️‍🔥 Stay safe out there, everybody. ❤️‍🔥 Hello. I’m E. M. Warden. I’m an unpublished author and I’m editing my first fantasy novel. Stick around for all sorts about the editing, querying and (hopefully) publishing process. One day, I might even tell you about the book. ❤️‍🔥 #authorcommunity #authorgram #aspiringauthor #writingabook #writinganovel Booksta, bookstagram, writer, author, funny, bookish, fantasy author, unpublished author, aspiring author, writing a book, indie publishing, traditional publishing, writing advice by @a.world.of.ink
Hi, I’m E. M. Warden. Writer, artist and friend to the crows in your backyard. I’ve been learning to write a book by… well, writing a book. The process is no secret, but the story itself very much is. And it’s going to stay that way until A) it’s finished and B) I know how I’ll be publishing it. Stick around for glimpses behind the scenes as I continue editing my manuscript and subsequently step foot into the terrifying world of publishing. Some of y’all have been here, some of y’all are new here - a great big hi, how are ya, to every single one of you. X ❤️‍🔥 Stay safe out there, everybody. ❤️‍🔥 Hello. I’m E. M. Warden. Did someone say new style? 👀 Pen and ink just dropped. And by just dropped I mean I’ve been drawing in that style for four+ years. But now you can commission it! As you know, I don’t charge for commissions. Instead, you send me proof of donation for the commission fee. I get to draw. You get character art. And together, we help support the people who are working hard to make the world a better place. If that sounds interesting to you, character portraits start at just $25. You can find all the details, from pricing to styles to how to commission character art, pinned on my profile. *** If you want commercially licensed artwork, I do charge an artist’s fee equal to the donation amount. *** ❤️‍🔥 Stay safe out there, everybody. ❤️‍🔥 Hello. If the only thing you do today is vote, I am proud of you. Didn’t write, but went to the polls? Amazing. Called in sick to go stand in the voting line? Good for you. People are counting on you staying home and giving up. Don’t give them the satisfaction. And for anyone who’s unsure of where to go or what to do in their state, check out vote.org for everything you need to know. ❤️‍🔥 Stay safe out there, everybody. ❤️‍🔥 And now to make sure this reaches the people it’s meant for: reader, bookish, bookstagram, romantasy, romance book rec, spicy book recommendations, morally grey, author, writing process, how to write a book, smut reader, smut writer ❤️‍🔥 #authorgram #aspiringauthor #firsttimeauthor #writingabook #aspiringauthors by @a.world.of.ink
IF YOU FIND YOUR ROUGH DRAFT EMBARRASSING, GOOD - IT MEANS YOU’RE GETTING BETTER. 🤘🏻❤️‍🔥 I actually think embarrassment is a waste of your time here. You wrote a book. Maybe your first book. I don’t care how it reads, that’s something to be proud of. Keep. Going. #aspiringauthor #writingabook #authorjourney #firsttimeauthor #aspiringauthors by @a.world.of.ink
Join me for an analogue editing session! This is what I look like 97% of the time - no makeup, sweats on, hair up, head in another world. The stress injury + trapped nerve are still having a kiki in my neck and down my arms so this is how I have my desk set up at the moment. 🤣🖤 I love getting all done up to film content, but if anyone out there is ever tempted to compare themselves to me, A) stoppit and B) please know this is who you’re comparing yourself to (I repeat, cut it out). #aspiringauthors #authorjourney #writingabook #firsttimeauthor #authorgram by @a.world.of.ink
From one author to another: stop comparing yourself to strangers on the internet and go write your book. Works a charm, highly recommend. 🤘🏻🙂‍↕️ #authorjourney #firsttimeauthor #aspiringauthor #writethebook #aspiringauthors by @a.world.of.ink
The author who pantsed my first ever novel and the author who edited it are two completely different people. 🤘🏻💀 Love both of ‘em though. 🖤 #authorhumor #aspiringauthor #writingabook #authorjourney #aspiringauthors by @a.world.of.ink
There are many reasons I write. These are just a few of them. Do we have any in common? 👀🖤 #authorjourney #aspiringauthors #firsttimeauthor #authorgram #aspiringauthor Elden Ring, eat your heart out. Oops, I imagined a completely different reality again. Guess I better write it down. I get characters stuck in my head all the time. There are at least six really clear ones waiting in the wings right now. And if I feel like this, there’s a good chance readers will feel it too. The reason I started writing in the first place. I hope this is what my books become for anyone who reads them. by @a.world.of.ink
I wrote a book for people who need an escape, but don’t want to pretend everything’s fine. I hope that, one day, you get to set down all that you carry somewhere between its pages, and that you feel seen there too. ❤️‍🔥 Stay safe out there, everybody. ❤️‍🔥 If you’re new here, HELLO. I’m E. M. Warden, an aspiring author de-romanticizing the writing and publishing processes. If you want a candid look at the author journey and some helpful tips along the way, you’re in the right place. ❤️‍🔥 #aspiringauthor #authorjourney #firsttimeauthor #writingabook #aspiringauthors by @a.world.of.ink
As an author, not being able to type has been really rough. I’ve been spending A LOT of time reading craft books and gaining insight that I’ll be able to take back to my manuscript once I’m healed enough to type again. If you’ve got a craft book recommendation, drop it in the comments! 📚 #aspiringauthor #authorjourney #firsttimeauthor #writingabook #aspiringauthors by @a.world.of.ink
