POSTS STORIES REELS

Hiiiii it’s nice to virtually meet you!

I’m A Young Grasshopper, a live entertainment performer specializing in pole dancing based in Tucson, AZ, USA. I’m happy to post that I’m currently open to any opportunities such as dance festivals, art/music/community shows, community events, showcases, fundraisers, and more! My DMs and email are always open to connecting with new people and contributing to cool ideas

Some common questions I get:
1. Why are you called A Young Grasshopper?
It’s a reference to the 1972 American TV show “Kung Fu,” about a Shaolin monk navigating the American West (much like my own home base of Tucson, AZ). His master called him "young grasshopper," and to me that represents being an apprentice, a learner. I’m a learner of pole and a learner of life. Plus I really do love the color green :)

2. how long have you been pole dancing?
It will be one year this August 2026!

3. so what are you exactly?
A human being! I’m a first-generation Vietnamese American with Han Chinese roots. I’m proud to represent Asian femme sexuality and I’m not afraid to do so. If any other Asian baddies want advice or just someone to talk to about owning their sexuality, my DMs are always open…

4. What’s your style?
My specialty is deep cut song choices that sample or reference Asian culture paired with tricks-based pole dancing. I love to represent the hodgepodge of what it means to be Vietnamese AND American through my music and my sensuality. If you’re looking for this kind of performance, I’m your pal!

Flower in a Hurricane from the GTA6 album… sounds about right! 🪷🌪️

My freestyle incorporating a spin combo by the owner of @polecats.dancestudio in TPHCM , Viet Nam. My time in VN was so hectic so I am so glad I got to take a class with Pole Cats and learn under the owner who’s been pole dancing for ~8 years…!

It was such a lovely time being surrounded by other Asian pole dancers too! What an inviting and empowering group of women, I can’t wait to go back once they completed their move to a bigger studio sometime sooonnnnn 💕
