Grassroots Conference 2026 ♡

This past weekend, I had the amazing opportunity to attend the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) leadership conference in Washington, DC. I was one of 9 selected to have the entire trip funded by the AIA!

It was truly such an incredible experience as I got to learn more about what it means to be a leader, how we can impact the community through architecture, & connect with other architecture students and design professionals as well. Along with that, it’s helped us towards kickstarting our first chapter of Freedom by Design in our school & I can’t wait! ◡̈

I know God’s opening a door that’s going to bring so many amazing blessings, and I’m only grateful that I get to be even just a small part of that.

Till next time 🫡 #grassroots2026 by @abbyfaithlabial

even though i spent most of my days in the studio deprived of eating and sleeping, there were still some highlights from this semester when i was “off the clock.” & let’s just say the hard work was worth it 😩👏

1. got to visit careen in gainesville
2. got to meet my niece
3. spent some time w/ friends + kids (iykyk)
4. got to sight see in new york + see family
5. went to dave and busters for the first time
6. spoke for the trees
7. visited my family for thanksgiving
8. moved to a new (and improved) apartment
9. ate some really good food
10. had one of the best juries of my life + ate and slept REAL GOOD right after!

i survived core!!! onto advanced!!!! 😎 by @abbyfaithlabial
