Mount Fuji ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต (3,776m - 12,389ft) Such a beautiful experience to summit this one ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ—ป by @abbyhamre
170km, 6 days, 2 countries, and 55+ of the most beautiful towns and cities that I didnโ€™t know existed. Walking from Portugal to Spain alongside hundreds of other pilgrims of all ages and walks of life with the same goal to reach santiago ๐Ÿฅพ One of the most rewarding experiences accompanied with the reality of the physical and mental challenge of hiking for 8 hours a day with the worst foot pain, endless calf cramps and shin splints๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ Completely in awe of the unexpected beauty of the camino and so happy to have accomplished this with my bestfriend ๐Ÿค #caminodesantiago #caminoportugues by @abbyhamre
On March 18th, at 8:06 am, I successfully summited Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest free standing mountain in the world (5,895 meters - 19,340 feet) ๐Ÿฅพ a 7 day trek, through the beautiful terrains of the rainforest, moorlands, alpine desert and the arctic ๐ŸŒตโ„๏ธ Summit night - waking up at 11pm, I started my summit night trek at midnight, trekking in the pitch black, steep rocky uphill terrain in -25ยฐC and windy weather. The feeling of looking up and seeing an endless view of headlights up in the mountain, i thought the night would never end. The high altitude symptoms finally began after I felt fine all week. I threw up about 8 times before finally reaching the Uhuru peak. I have never felt so weak or tired in my life - everytime i stopped to catch my breath, id fall asleep sitting up on a rock, but motivation goes a long way, so i didnt care how long it took. 8 hours later, I reached the peak, the highest point in the continent of Africa, 1/7 summits of the world, and the very top of the tallest free standing mountain in the world. This was the hardest physical and mental challenge that I have ever encountered but pain is temporary and victory is forever ๐Ÿ”๏ธ nakupenda kilimanjaro and @exuberantkilimanjaro ๐Ÿค #mountkilimanjaro #sevensummits #exuberantkilimanjaro #machameroute by @abbyhamre
