To my Pitt Family, I am so excited and honored to announce that I am a member of the Spirit of Pitt Homecoming court this year, and in the running for the Spirit of Pitt award! Almost four years ago, I made the decision that would change my life: commit to Pitt. I felt such a draw to the University, and knew that it was the place for me. Not only did I dive into college head first, I also joined the Pitt Varsity Marching Band with absolutely zero marching experience. Little did I know that this would be the start to the most amazing, life-changing journey. Right off the bat I felt such a deep connection to the campus community. Being a part of one of the oldest student organizations on campus, where 111 groups of people came before me, cemented my place at the University. I immediately dove into all that campus had to offer, and made some of the best memories I could have asked for.  I am connected to the newest Panthers as a Pathfinder, cheer the loudest for our current Panthers at every sporting event I can go to, and keep past Panthers connected to the community as a Blue & Gold Ambassador. I love this University from the bottom of my heart, and I am so grateful to have the opportunity to represent Pitt in this way.  Throughout the next two weeks, I will be posting some information about getting involved in homecoming activities, and why I deserve your vote for Spirit of Pitt.  Voting opens at 12pm on September 21st! I would be honored to have your vote for Spirit of Pitt <3  <3 Abby Diamond by @abbyydiamond
