I’d like to introduce you to my sister, Ehlam, and her children.

I recently had the honor of meeting Ehlam and three of her surviving children through video call. Two of her children, Sama (8) and Mousa (3), were tragically martyred under the rubble. May Allah have mercy on them and bring comfort to Ehlam and her children.

When Ehlam fled with her children, her husband stayed behind in their home in the North because he refused to leave his land. Just two weeks later, all contact with him was lost. To this day, she has no idea if he is alive, and she fears he was martyred.

Now she is raising her surviving children alone, carrying unimaginable grief while fighting every day to keep them alive. I have personally verified Ehlam and her family’s situation and witnessed how difficult their circumstances are.
