🔴acb Gallery I Art Cologne @artcolognefair
05.–08.11.2026

acb Gallery is delighted to announce that Endless Canvas, a monumental painting project by German artist Tilo Schulz @tiloschulz.studio , which debuted at acb Plus in January 2026, will now be presented at Art Cologne, the world’s oldest and one of its most prestigious contemporary art fairs. Following its presentation at im Tal – Haus für die Kunst in Hasselbach this summer, and its current exhibition at Museum Morsbroich in Leverkusen, the project will take on yet another compelling spatial configuration at acb Gallery’s solo booth in Cologne.

Endless Canvas is a lifelong artistic undertaking, continuously evolving and expanding, consciously resisting notions of completion and clearly defined boundaries. Its pictorial surface extends without predetermined limits or endpoints: to the left and right, upward and downward alike. Composed of modular panels measuring 152 × 260 cm, the constellation of paintings unfolds as a single, continuous pictorial surface, while the panels are rearranged for each presentation in response to the architectural characteristics of the exhibition space. The work thus maintains its painterly continuity while repeatedly transforming into a new spatial installation.

See you next week in Cologne💥 by @acbgallery

We are very excited that Art Cologne starts tomorrow💥 @artcolognefair

In the meantime we are sharing with you the first museum presentation of the ongoing painting project ‘Endless Canvas’ by @tiloschulz.studio , currently at the Museum Morsbroich in Leverkusen. @museum_morsbroich

“With Endless Canvas, Tilo Schulz developed the concept of an infinite painting: a work that expands in all directions without predetermined boundaries and that can potentially be extended indefinitely. The painting consists of an unspecified number of modular panels that form a cohesive field. Painterly gestures traverse the seams between the individual modules; lines extend beyond the edges, and colors flow across the boundaries. The result is not a series of individual works, but a process-oriented painting in perpetual extension that changes and reforms itself depending on the space, context, and presentation. “ The exhibition is on view between 2 October 2026 - 24 January 2027 in Leverkusen.

And don’t forget to visit the ever-changing artwork at Art Cologne, at acb Gallery’s booth!

🔴 We are proud to announce that @selman.selma is part of the first exhibition of the newly opened contemporary art center Le Large @large.emerige in a former Renault factory site on Île Seguin Paris. The exhibition curated by Cecilia Alemani is titled Imaginary Engine - from masterpieces in the Renault Collection to today’s artists.

Taking the distinctive history of île Seguin, once home to the Renault factories, as its starting point, the exhibition explores the connections between artistic creation, industry, innovation and society. Bringing historic works from the Fonds Renault pour l’Art et la Culture into dialogue with contemporary creations, it examines the major transformations of the modern world and the ways in which artists respond to them.

Conceived as a journey through the industrial memory of île Seguin and the worlds of imagination it continues to inspire, the exhibition invites visitors to look afresh at the relationships between people, machines and the narratives that shape our time.
Selma Selman’s work is featured in the chapter Object of Desire among Shirin Aliabadi, Niki de Saint Phalle, Kenneth Anger, Bianca Bondi and Oliver Beer. The artists view the car as extension of the body and a fetish object, these works explore its sensual charge and contested symbolism as a site of desire, identity and critique.

On view between 17 October 2026 - 7 March 2027.

Today is the last day to visit our current exhibitions, including Şerban Savu’s solo show Men, Gods, Animals!🐻

On this occasion we’re sharing a short excerpt from the guided tour led by the artist himself on the opening day of the exhibition:

Savu offered visitors a glimpse into the stories behind his paintings, which come to life on the gallery walls as works imbued with a distinctive atmosphere, somewhere between the everyday and the mystical. The tour also provided insight into Savu’s artistic thinking and one of the central questions explored in the exhibition: How are the relationships between humans, animals, and gods changing in contemporary Romanian society?

🔴acb Attachment | Gyula Várnai: The Scent of Numbers

This is the last chance to visit the exhibition of Gyula Várnai🪐

For Várnai, the formula can be both a scientific tool and a material for visual art. He is interested in the effect that numbers, formulas, and their associated systems produce even when they no longer stand before us as scientific statements but as images.

The exhibition is still on view on Thursday and Friday between 2 - 6 pm. by @acbgallery

🔴 acb Bak Imre Space | Katalin Ladik: Three Laces Playing

This week is the last chance to visit the exhibition of Katalin Ladik🎀

The exhibition features the eponymous textile composition with its accompanying sound piece (2008) and the series of photos documenting her Performance in Baltimore (1980). In both of them, textile and more precisely lace, play a pivotal role, and although they differ in medium, both works explore the hiding and revealing potentials of a garment in close connection to the female body.

The exhibition is on view until this Friday.

🔴 acb Media

In acb Gallery’s latest video podcast, Csaba Nemes takes viewers on a guided tour of his retrospective exhibition Continuous Past at MODEM in Debrecen.

At the heart of Csaba Nemes’s artistic practice lies a sustained engagement with the social realities surrounding him. Created from the period of Hungary’s political transition to the present day, his works can be understood as sensitive yet critically engaged reflections on defining moments in Hungary’s political, economic, and cultural life. Brought together, these works trace a kind of “continuous past,” revealing the complexities of Hungarian society through photography, painting, collage, and film.

🔴We are pleased to recommend the institutional solo exhibition of our represented artist @janusko.klaudia at @kassakmuzeum ! Klaudia was the recipient of the Kassák Contemporary Art Prize, as a result of which the exhibition Under My Knife was realised.

The exhibition takes the form of a staged operating theatre, where the instruments of intervention and the object world of video games begin to overlap. The visitor occupies an uncertain position between observer and potential patient. Monologues by video-game characters emerge from surgical bowls placed throughout the space, setting in-game death against the ageing and finitude of the physical body. The title Under My Knife condenses this ambiguity: the body can go under the knife, but so can the images and characters with which the artist works.

⚔️

The exhibition is open between 10 October 2026 – 7 February 2027.
