my dearest corinne, my most beloved friend since 3rd grade, i can’t begin to explain how it feels to navigate the world without you here. there isn’t a day where i don’t get sad that i can’t text you, where i don’t see something that reminds me of you, or hear a song that i know you would be listening to as well. thank you for giving me truly some of the best memories of my childhood. whether it was being scene partners in classroom plays, begging to get starbucks after school on thursdays, or being dates to school dances. i will miss your hugs, your smile, your laugh, and sassiness. however, i will find you in the sunshine, the flowers, and every taylor swift song. thank you for all the memories i hold with you, they will never go away. i love you forever 🧡💐🌤️🐸🌟
p.s. in sixth grade, my password to my poptropica account was “corinneisawesome101” because it was not only factual, but easy to remember. by @accidentallytori

On Monday, May 18th, I will be walking in the TDPS Commencement for UC Berkeley. This is the symbol of the nearing end of my career at Berkeley at how quickly time has flown by. I am honored to be surrounded by such a wonderful support system between my family, friends in Stockton and Berkeley, and the professors and counselors here, who have absolutely transformed my time here into something so beautiful.
This semester was the most difficult semester I have had between personal changes, the loss of close family members and friends, and the weight of senior year while openly grieving. However, I am proud to have made it through with the guidance, support, and love from those around me. These people continue to motivate me to grow, learn, and be kind, and forever stay inspirational to me.
I will be continuing my education here for the Fall 2026 semester, where I will be directing “Our Town” by Thorton Wilder with @barestageproductions , which is a project I couldn’t be more thrilled for, as many of you know how much that show has meant to me and how it continues to circle back into my life. In December, I will be participating in the campus-wide commencement to celebrate my Bachelor’s degree in Theater and Performance Studies, with my minor in Journalism, and I couldn’t be more proud of this accomplishment.
As you may have know, college wasn’t always in my cards but I couldn’t be happier that I decided to not only attend college, but to continue my education at UC Berkeley. I am not sure where the future lays but I am confident that wonderful things are on the horizon. Thank you for everyone who has played a part in my journey here. I am forever grateful 💛🐻💙 FOREVER A BEAR !

i am truly so beyond proud and grateful that this project came to fruition. from an idea that came to me at 3 am during the summer when i couldn’t sleep, to seeing final bows and hearing the audience cheering, it blows my mind. i am forever thankful to the Shakespeare Society of Berkeley (specifically arya), for trusting me and giving me the chance to make something magical. as a first time director, i couldn’t be more amazed at the group we pulled together. there were moments i doubted my ability, got too caught up in little mistakes, and wondered if i was wayyyy in over my head, but the cast and crew showed up with so much passion, love, and determination, always making me laugh, and it would bring me back to the reason i wanted to do this, for them. thank you to my lovely cast and crew for making my directorial debut so magical, fulfilling, and truly out of this world. whether it was your first show, first show at berkeley, or your last, i am grateful for you all. to the audiences; friends, family, class mates, who all wanted to support us and this production, thank you. thank you to my parents, siblings, and jon-michael for not only showing up but reminding me to be proud of the work i have done. it has been a wonderful journey and one that will highlight my senior year at berkeley. thank you, thank you, thank you.

my sister is my best friend. but we weren’t always super close. we went through that teenage phase where we hated each other’s guts, truly couldn’t stand each other, but would still get upset if one didn’t talk to the other. we have always been such opposites. but from the moment i understood her existence, she was one of my favorite people. i was in awe in everything that made her who was is. she was such a cool, dorky kid, incredibly smart, a natural comedian, and i wanted to be just like her.

as we got older, i saw how strong and dedicated she was. still everything she was before but amplified. she overcame struggles with grace, never let anyone belittle her or her work. and as i felt as a kid, i was in awe.

now, we’re adults, living separately busy but fulfilling lives. she’s a student, a mother, the most hardworking person in my life. and i’m at school beginning to piece together my future. so even though we went from being under the same roof to 2,000 miles apart, we couldn’t be better best friends.

this past weekend, we got to be under the same roof again and it felt like we went back to being 8 & 12. we slept on the living room floor with blankets, watching movies. we annoyed everyone around us with our inside jokes. and we hugged, feeling grateful for each other’s presence.

seeing her again made me remember everything that made me so happy to have her be my sister when i was a kid. she’s always been a rock for me, even though our differences. but she’s always been my best friend and sister and nothing can change that. her love is unlike any other and it will be with me like a handprint on my heart.

so with the “most glinda and elphaba photo” of my sister and i, this is a reminder to tell people you love them. hug them. laugh with them. cry with them. it’s healing to experience life and love with the people you’ve grown up with.

and to alexa, my beautiful sister, thank you for being who you are, for being someone for me to look up to, and for giving me a wonderful niece that i get to share my love for you with. but most importantly, thank you for changing me for good 🩷🫧💐 by @accidentallytori

i don’t think i have fully processed how much this show has meant to me. it challenged me in all the right ways and ignited such a passion i have never felt before in theater. mariyam is such a fighter; she’s soft, she’s emotional, she’s protective, she’s such a lover. there is so much of me in mariyam and vice versa. what an honor to be her.
to riya & ella, thank you from the bottom of soul and being for trusting me with the gift of mariyam. you two have taught me so much and always give me support and guidance when i needed it. this show is complicated but you made it so magical. thank you!
to my cast and crew, thank you for being so wonderful. all the laughs backstage, enthusiasm about my pregnancy belly, and all the kind words during hard times gave me strength. i couldn’t ask for a better family to have had this journey with.
to my friends & loved ones, whether you saw the show or sent messages, thank you. this show was a big moment for me and having people proudly in my corner made it all the more special. i am still in awe of all the support from the audiences. thank you for being apart of it.

lastly, but definitely not least, to hasmik, my lover and friend. thank you for trusting me & letting roshni trust mariyam. i am in awe of everything you did for this show. you were a grounding place for me during the hard, emotional pieces, and you gave so much support. thank you for making me laugh (sometimes way too much), for all the check ins, for never complaining about how much lipstick would end up on your face, and simply for being you. you are the perfect roshni and i feel privileged to have had you.

here’s to pretty castles and happy endings,
