We spend our lives wandering through crowded streets, searching for a script we were never handed. Every corner feels like a scene from a forgotten film. A quiet pause between strangers waiting for someone to translate the silence.

I’ve tried treating my photographs like stills from an unreleased movie, giving subtitles to the heavy, unsaid moments we pass by every day.

A little light, a little patience, and 36 chances to get it right. She's been around for over four decades, with a lens for an eye, yet somehow she's teaching me to see things anew 😇

Not quite how things looked, but how the evening felt to me

Spent a while on a boat in Varanasi, watching the ghats go by.

People were bathing, praying, talking, going about their mornings. From the river, it all felt strangely distant, like watching a hundred different lives without knowing a single thing about them.

I wonder what the city would look like if you could see it through the eyes of everyone who calls it home.

Funny how you can spend hours somewhere and still only know it through the few things you happened to see.

Anyway, here's a little of what I saw.

I wonder how many times I've been in the background of someone else's photograph without knowing it.

Somewhere in a stranger's camera roll, I might be crossing a road, buying something, looking at my phone, maybe even taking a photo from my camera. Doing something so forgettable that I wouldn't remember it myself.

I think about that when I photograph people on the street. We're all the main character in our own day, and someone else's passing detail in theirs.

But when we are out there on the streets with the camera just for a few seconds we can capture a glimpse of the other main characters in this world.

A mandir visit, a long ride,
and far too many photographs of things i hadn't planned to photograph.

Pandupol is one of those places where you keep putting the camera away
and then taking it out again.

Chandni Chowk had its own headlines that day.

none of them made the paper, sadly.

I thought the hard part would be getting there.

it was leaving

Some things only make sense
before the world wakes up.

When the streets are quieter,
the air still belongs to the night,
and even the familiar
looks a little different.

That's why I like roaming around the city when
nothing is asking for your attention yet,
so you can just wander
and see what finds you.

There are days when the world feels borrowed
Someone else's sky
Someone else's shadow
Someone else's sound

Isn't it what they would call Limerence

Beautiful things
have a strange habit
of finding me
when I'm not looking

Or so I believe.
