I imagine Monday night at candle light, a sweet circle of women from all cultures, ages, and walks of life, willing to open ourselves to the losses we have experienced specially of those beloveds who have left their bodies and become stars. 🌟 I imagine us sharing stories and humming, lamenting, singing, drumming together as Mama Quilla, mother moon, cradles the memory of the ancestors through the Chakana altar. I imagine us for one night unburdened, cared by communal grieving which allows us to experience a level of healing that is deeply and profoundly freeing. I welcome you, this is an chance to come and release while at the same reconnect to your ancestral roots. Bring pictures, flowers, any items that will energize our communal altar. Bring your sweet heart and your willingness to show yourself in your truth, vulnerable, open, powerful and connected to the great mystery. 🪶 📅 Monday Nov 2nd ⏱️7:30 pm 🧘‍♀️Light on Lotus, Mar Vista 🤲🏽Register on link 🔝 by @adelacbustamante
🌿 Perimenopause and menopause are a vital time to pay attention to your health: to address what’s affecting your daily life while building habits that support your brain, bones, heart, and strength for the years ahead. An Ayurvedic consultation with me creates space to look at the whole picture: your constitution, health history, food, sleep, stress, and the demands of your life. Together, we’ll develop personalized food and lifestyle practices that are realistic, sustainable, and fit your lifestyle. You don’t have to wait until you’re depleted to make room for yourself. 🌿 Book an Ayurvedic consultation with Adela Bustamante at Thrive Health & Wellness Collective. If you’ve been irritable since August, that’s not a personality problem. That’s pitta in menopause. The equinox has turned. All summer we gathered heat — this is pitta: the fire that digests, that drives, that also burns when it has nowhere left to go. The rash. The reflux. The short fuse. The heart that won’t cool down. During seasonal junctions, Ayurveda teaches us to enter with ease and prepare the body for the transition. Water is a great way to transition, to cool and purify. And romero. Rosemary. In my lineage she is a planta maestra — a master plant, a teacher. My people know her to clean a house, a body, a bad dream. She purifies. She moves what has gone stagnant. She lifts the heavy out of a person and hands it to the water.💦 🌺🌺🌺 Three hibiscus — white for the bones and the grandmothers, orange for the fire in the belly, red for the blood still moving in me. Lie back. Let Yaku Mama hold you.
Here, nothing is taken without something given back. Save this for the first cool night. 🌿 Comment ROMERO if you want the full summer to fall Ayurvedic protocol 🍁 by @adelacbustamante
Breathe with me in this little shared practice. 😮‍💨 The breath is one of our most incredible medicines. I am constantly fascinated by it. Learning from our own bodies’ intelligence its capacity to self regulate on its own. 💀Dia de Los muertos is soon upon us. 🕯️Come experience grief and joy in community at LIGHT ON LOTUS 🪷 Mar Vista. 🥀Monday November 2nd ⌛️7:30 pm Join me and the cacao to celebrate the dead and the living together. #breathingpractice #selfregulate #grief #loss díadelosmuertos by @adelacbustamante
Vamos a Ecuador!🇪🇨 RITES OF RENEWAL Vilcabamba Pilgrimage and Retreat April 11 to April 19 - 2027 This is not a retreat led by people who discovered Ecuador on a map and built an offering around it. The land we walk on in Vilcabamba is not scenery to me-it’s relationship, memory, responsibility. You are not being guided by influencers. You are not stepping into a packaged spiritual experience. You are not extracting from a place you don’t understand. You are being received. • THE AYNI - the reciprocity 🪃 By me-someone who knows the culture, the rhythms, the subtleties of what is shared and what is not. By a local team who is the familia at @sacredseedsanctuary We move with reciprocity. THE MUNAY - the love 💗 My partner, Scott Blossom, @docblossom is bringing his depth of practice-yoga, Vedic wisdom, and a kind of grounded presence that is rare. : THE LLANKAY - how you show up: I know we’re living in a time where investing in something like this can feel excessive. But from my heart —this is the kind of moment where tending to your inner world is not optional. It’s necessary. Your participation in reshaping your life is not a luxury. If you’ve been feeling that quiet pull, you already know. Book a discovery call ☎️ More details on link ☝🏽 #plantmedicineretreat #vilcabamba #retreat #ecuador by @adelacbustamante

DIA DE LOS MUERTOS A Place at the Altar🕯️
A women-centered cacao ritual for grief, remembrance, and community. Grief needs a place in our communal lives. A place where we can speak the names of those we miss, remember where we come from, and be accompanied in what we carry. I invite you to gather around a community altar with cacao, drum, song, and humming. Together, we will make room for mourning and remembrance—for beloved people who have died, for relationships and chapters that have ended, and for losses we may still be finding words to describe. You may bring a photograph, a name, a flower, or a meaningful object for the altar. There is no expectation to tell your story, sing, or express grief in a particular way. Listening and quiet presence are equally welcome. Monday November 2nd 7:30 pm At Light on Lotus in Venice #yogalife #venice #díadelosmuertos #cacaoceremony by @adelacbustamante

🔥 Elevando el rezo por nuestras hermanas, madres, hijas, abuelas. Ya basta! And free Palestine 🇵🇸 by @adelacbustamante
🌹My cultural heritage runs deep. Coming into my truth as a healer has meant bringing forward parts of myself I once felt I had to make less visible. My language. My accent, my idiosyncrasies. My Ecuadorian roots. The traditions I come from. My convictions. 🌹 Latina immigrants often arrive in this country healthier than the women they settle among. Did you know that? Aguántate. De ahi nos llega la menopausia… Due to this accelerated cellular aging, Latinas on average enter natural menopause 1.2 to 1.7 years earlier than non-Hispanic white women. 🌹In one major study, frequent hot flashes and night sweats lasted a median of almost nine years for Latina women, compared with six and a half for non-Hispanic white women. 🌹Years of interrupted nights. And in the morning, work. Children. Bills. La vida sigue. But where is the support that allows us to keep living it? 🌹Every woman here is weathered by something. The burdens are not equally distributed, and every woman is welcome. No tienes que poder con todo solita. #latinas #menopausia #immigrant #mujeresempoderandomujeres #mujerempoderada by @adelacbustamante
