Summer 2026 with my love❤️

Finally getting around to sharing a little video recap of the Pan-African Biennale 2026 in Nairobi. A few days of moving between exhibitions, open studios, conversations and everything else that made up the experience. So many little moments that deserved to be captured. 🤎

PAB Dump (there’s no way I’m leaving all this in my camera roll 😅❤️)

The Pan-African Biennale itinerary was packed, and there was such a diverse mix of experiences throughout the week.

From the workshops and talks to the open studios, exhibitions, embassy receptions and all the little moments in between.

A few of my favourite moments from Nairobi. 🥹

Nairobi was good to me ❤️

PAB: SHIFTING THE CENTRE
I was privileged to be part of the first Pan-African Biennale in Nairobi. I went in curious about what the first edition would look like, but I left with a lot more to think about.

There was something really special about being in a room with people from different parts of the continent, talking about architecture, our cities, our histories and how we see ourselves.

Pan-Africanism feels especially important in spaces like this. There is so much value in coming together, learning from one another and making room for African perspectives to exist on their own terms.

The first day alone left us with so many questions. What does African architecture really mean? Who gets to define it? Whose voices are being heard? And what does it mean to build something like this from the continent?

Well done to the team behind the Biennale, and to everyone who shared, questioned, challenged and contributed throughout the week. There was so much knowledge and perspective shared, and so much to take away from it. @biennale_africa @degan_omar

See you in 2028 @biennale_africa
