A Rare Treat to be able to see an incredibleeee Ancient Stone carved “Yolk” (w/ Frog Effigy Carvings) in a museum here in the US!!!

🧐📚SO-These are part of massive Stone Ceremonial belts worn by players of the ball game-usually practiced by the Maya.
💠This was found in the state of Vera Cruz, named from the Ancient & Mysterious Vera Cruz culture-a totally different culture that appeared and disappeared from unknown origins/destinations, overlapped by the Olmec
✨-who overlap the Maya
✨BUT!-So far we have never discovered an Olmec Ball court!
💠🤔However they have found in Olmec towns Rubber Balls,..they survived due to marshy climates preserving the balls. They are theorized or are at least similar to the Rubber balls inherited & used by the Mayan Cultures.
😀Just crazy to me someone wore this on their waist! There are still a lot of mysteries surrounding these ancient “Yolks”
